We know who loves the poorly educated, because he has told us so, and we know why he feels that way. Two reasons: Donald Trump loves the poorly educated because he is one. Oh, yes, he attended various schools. But attending and learning something are two different things. So Trump identifies with the uneducated and the ignorant.

And the second reason he loves them, is because they’re easily duped. This is the class of persons Abe Lincoln spoke of when he said, “You can fool some of the people all of the time.” Trump knows he can. And so he adores his MAGA base.

He only wishes that he could fool all of the people all of the time, but Lincoln said it couldn’t be done and Trump has certainly tried it. That we have seen. And here is his latest shot — at least for the base. Nobody else is going to swallow a bite of this.

Trump is having a Paul Sperry festival on Truth Social tonight. He likes Paul Sperry. Sperry is the right-wing journalist who is complaining that Adam Schiff got him banned on Twitter. I seriously doubt that Adam Schiff had that kind of power with the former management of Twitter, but you know how this crowd thinks. It’s all Us v. Them, black and white, tribal warfare.

As you see from the above “developing” story, there isn’t fact one, date one, document one being cited, just a lot of mysterious innuendo. Perfect for the low information/no information crowd. They don’t want to think, they just want to hear movie magazine level gossip that reinforces their own biases.

Again, if he was specific, this might be a compelling argument for something. But I’m hearing echoes of Hillary Clinton and the endless email saga. Yes, the FBI concluded after an endless amount of discovery and investigation, that there had been carelessness but that no laws had been broken.

The only good thing about Biden’s classified document fracas is that finally, at long last, we won’t be hearing anymore about Hillary’s emails. We need to look for the silver lining, right?

I guess DRIP, DRIP, DRIP means that soon the floodgates of classified documents will be opened and we’ll all be deluged in them. We shall see what we shall see but I seriously doubt that we’re going to see that.

The difference between these two cases, Biden’s and Trump’s, has been made metaphorically and the one I like best so far is that it’s the difference between a fender bender and a hit and run. Negligence is here. Nobody is arguing that. Maybe the good news about both these cases will be that classified documents will be under tighter rein in the future and I think that’s a good thing. But no way has Biden ignored demands to return documents, subpoenas, etc. And he sure as hell hasn’t said that Obama declassified them telepathically — or that he did it himself, ex post facto.

And Sperry ends on this ominous note.

Who’s the outsider? Trump already played that card in 2016 and we saw what an outside amateur could do. Trump is no longer the outsider. He’s the Republican establishment and the old school Republicans are painfully aware of that. That’s why they’re trying to dump him. I speak of Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney, Liz Cheney, that crowd.

Outsider president is an oxymoron. But then again, as I told you at the beginning here, this is not a well reasoned and factual argument, leading to a logically sound conclusion. This is sophistry, plain and simple.

  1. When people keep talking about the MAGA base and the Trump crowd “dying off,” I would present Sperry and his ilk as evidence that such talk is nothing more than wishful thinking. Let’s not forget Lauren Boebert is only 36 years old and the current House embarrassment, George Santos, is only 34. Right-wing pundit Ben Shapiro is just 39. And Trump’s speechwriter, Stephen Miller, is only 37. (I can’t find anything regarding Sperry’s age–surprisingly, for such a “prominent” figure in right-wing punditry, the man seems to have a very small public profile. The other names mentioned, though, suggest Trumpism or whatever it morphs/segues into by 2024 isn’t going to go away as easily as just a “current” generation’s dying off. Hell, Ron De Santis is only 44 years old and he’s easily as bad as Trump in terms of ideology.)

  2. Well sorry, Biden is a career politician. If he was going to take documents there would be a lot more. And second on that, we would never have found them. Is this guy real or some character trump is projecting from some imaginary office.
