I would call this a flashpoint in the culture war, but it’s actually more of a burnt match. And both the former guy and his former Dr. Feelgood White House physician are unfortunately not important enough to really make much of a ripple in the cultural pond these days, as much as they might think they’re creating a tidal wave.
That said, they do have some entertainment value.
Both Donald Trump and Rep. Ronny Jackson have it in for Rihanna and are going ballistics because she’s set to perform at halftime at the Superbowl. This is excessive even for them.
AAAAARRGGGHHH!! I hate Rihanna!! I’m going to smash enough ketchup bottles to fill the swimming pool!! Nobody asked ME who EYE wanted to watch perform at halftime!! What’s up with that!!!Â
May I gently remind you that Trump and Jackson are the free speech absolutionists, anti-cancel culture crowd?
Apparently this explosion from Trump world arises out of an incident at Cadillac Ranch, an outdoor art installation that pays homage to the evolution of the Cadillac tail fin. We all have to do something, right? At this site, 10 Cadillacs are half-buried in the ground, nose-first. Visitors are encouraged to spray-paint the cars. Rihanna did and her contribution was to spray paint “Fuck Trump” in black.
This is more visible.
I guess that got under Trump’s skin. Else why would he be throwing such a hissy fit, right?

The key word here is “degenerate.” When was the last time you saw this word in print, much less heard it spoken out loud? I’ll bet it was in some translation of Nazi or Soviet propaganda. Using that word is a dead giveaway that the speaker/writer is either 85 years old or an authoritarian, or maybe both.
