This did not take long. The bloom on this rose faded especially early, namely after a few hours. Donald Trump of course touted his 9-0 Supreme Court win, allowing him to stay on the ballot, as an epic kind of a thing. It was not. If the court had given him what he wanted, what he asked for, which was to be cleared of any insurrection charges and for any further charges related to January 6 to be deemed as double jeopardy, then he would have had something epic to crow about. That did not take place. So a morose Trump got in front of the cameras and complained, once again. Isn’t it terrible how such a perfect being, whose phone calls are perfect, whose presidency was perfect, has to deal with such an imperfect system as ours?
A perfect election…A perfect phone call…A perfect insurrection…A perfect loan…A perfect presidency…A perfect kiss+…

And it was not very long at all before he went to the issue that is foremost on his mind. The “I” word. Or maybe we should say the Other I Word, since Insurrection came first.
No POTUS since the inception of this nation has had 'terror rain down on them' but then again, no other POTUS since the inception of this nation has had the cojones to declare himself a despot. SCOTUS isn't giving you absolute immunity – that will also be a 9-0 decision.

You don’t need immunity if you don’t break laws. But Trump doesn’t know this. He breaks laws the way that you and I breathe.
Every American could make this same stupid claim: "It is very unfair that I have to obey laws. They make me timid and restrain me from acting without regard to those laws. We can't do that to people. They must be free to do whatever they damn well feel like doing!"

And don’t forget, Richard Nixon thought that he was acting in the best interests of the country, too, when he had people break into the Watergate Hotel. And speaking of Trump and the world, here’s a chart you must see.

The world does not want Trump back. Our allies are already gaming scenarios where they work around the U.S. in the eventuality of such an occurrence.
Jeez. The word salad, the accordion hands — it's like watching his daily COVID briefings from the spring of 2020 all over again. Except, even more insane.

And maybe one day, just like COVID, Trump’s legal problems will all just disappear. No, in point of fact, Trump is going to disappear from our politics. He knows that on some level, he just can’t accept it openly, but he knows it.
He’s not all there. And he still hasn’t managed to fix his lighting for 6+ months now. This was not an impressive response.

There’s something up with this broadcasting from a dark room. Seriously. One of his aides made that decision and Trump must be looking especially broken down if the best accommodation they could come up with was to shoot him in the dark like this. That set is so dark you could develop film on it.
I hope he understands that total immunity also applies to President Biden.

Careful what you wish for, Donald, you just might get it. Let’s say presidents get total immunity for criminal acts, let’s just say: Then Joe Biden decides to hogtie you like you’re in a rodeo and drag your ass off to the basement of the White House and keep you there. And he can do that, right, because he has totally immunity?
Trump hasn’t thought the situation through to that level, believe me.

Old man shakes his fist and shouts at clouds, “I have IMMUNITY,” as they put Thorazine in his arm and take him away to five point restraint.
We The People is trending on Twitter/X and that’s how this is going to get fixed. We got a lot fixed in 2020, but we’re going to have to fix it for good in 2024.

We have to turn out in droves. We have to do early voting and bank those ballots. And we have to make this an election day like no other.

His real gift is in being able to unite so many people, from so many diverse backgrounds, from all over the country, against him.
The anti Trump vote will be ‘yuge’.
It will never be fixed for good anymore than something like racism and the problem of the Klan can never be fixed for good. What we CAN do is reduce the scope of the problem and even sometimes make some progress but Trump/Trumpism is a horrific blend of racism, populism and isolationism with a strong dash of authoritatianism now added in. Like I said, we CAN knock it on its ass in November but we have to be ready to work even harder than 2020 and 2022.
The day the ‘Supreme’ Court grants this corrupt fascist total immunity is the same day Dark Brandon takes over…arrest Trump, arrest the 147 congress members who voted for the insurrection, arrest Thomas and his wife, arrest all those elected officials everywhere who publicly denied Biden won, arrest the trump family for grifting and in kushner’s case selling secrets, arrest ANYONE they can identify in the jan6th insurrection, strip them of citizenship and exile them to wherever they will be most miserable. He then should ok reparations to the American Indians, the descendants of the 4 million slaves, and all the cannabis users arrested in a country that allows the twin killers of etoh and tobacco. Then sign into law that media must be accountable to the truth. Rescind any religious tax exempt status advocating insurrection. Put the Sacklers in jail for millions of overdoses. Immediately stop oil and gas drilling. Pour massive money into clean energy. Empty the jails of the private prison industry for nonviolent offenders. Test ALL rape kits and imprison ALL proven rapists and violent domestic offenders. Pass strigent guns laws outlawing military weapons and irresponsible gun ownership. That would be the first day. Total immunity? Great!! Get busy Dark Brandon. Take the phucking gloves off!!!!! Give them what they asked for!
Great list, Scott. Just add: confiscate all AR15-type weapons and legalize abortion.
You got it. A true leader is open minded to suggestions from those that have to live with his or her decision. ha.
My hairdresser is a gun collector. He has to set up an LLC, go through an extensive background check, pay some sort of document stamp fee, and take out insurance on each military gun he purchases. It is a process and has to be approved by the government before he can take possession. This is an acceptable plan to me.
I would also add – expand the Supreme Court
Cockroaches scatter in the light.
