We are dealing with a president who has now almost completely lost his mind. He’s inconsistent. He’s unbalanced. He’s edging into psychotic. This man is the ‘president’ of our country. This should go beyond concern into worry, because we literally have no idea what he might do next. It could be good or very, very bad. Here’s an example for you. Gratitude to Raw Story:
President Donald Trump stunned political analysts and observers on Sunday after he made a “bonkers” claim about one of his friends who was hospitalized.
Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City and a close ally of Trump’s, was hospitalized in Florida on Sunday, according to a report by the New York Times.
It remains unclear why Giuliani was admitted to the hospital, but a spokesperson for the former mayor said he is in “critical but stable” condition.
So, here’s our introduction. Trump went off the rails with his comments about Giuliani. He probably doesn’t know any more than we do. We are, unfortunately, used to his crazy, anger-filled posts in the middle of the night. (The man needs to be sleeping!) It’s no wonder that we worry more as time goes by and he gets substantially more erratic.
Trump took to Truth Social to share his concerns about Giuliani’s health in a post that included an absolutely wild accusation, according to analysts.
“Our fabulous Rudy Giuliani, a True Warrior, and the Best Mayor in the History of New York City, BY FAR, has been hospitalized, and is in critical condition,” Trump wrote in the post.
“What a tragedy that he was treated so badly by the Radical Left Lunatics, Democrats ALL — AND HE WAS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING!
They cheated on the Elections, fabricated hundreds of stories, did anything possible to destroy our Nation, and now, look at Rudy. So sad!”
“We’ve all kind of gotten used to rolling our eyes and saying, ‘Boy, that’s really crazy stuff,'” Nichols said. “It’s worse than that because it does suggest that there are no limits to what he will try. This is somebody who has demolished a chunk of the White House because he felt like it, and no one stopped him.”
Whaaaaaaaaat? Where the heck did *that* come from? Democrats sent Giuliani to the hospital? And the extreme rant about the elections? If it were anyone else, we would be getting them to the hospital for a check on their mental state. If anyone has any ideas about getting him there, please share. Seriously, what are his doctors doing by doing nothing? Can they not tell what we see? Who could stop him? It certainly seems like no one even wants to try to do something.
Nichols added that Trump’s recent actions also show that his long-standing ” defects“are worsening.
“We can focus all day long on the various defects of Donald Trump’s personality. They’re evident. They’ve been evident for a good part of his life,” Nichols said.
“And they’re getting much worse now.
But the fact of the matter is, no one’s stopping him. Not the Republicans.”
“The Democrats, I think, are doing some of what they can do, but I think they’ve been underreacting to this, and the American public, which again, has been kind of just ground down by this firehose of lunacy,” he added.
So, yes, worry. These posts are getting worse and worse, more disjointed by the day. And remember, Trump is the face of America to the world. We’re letting this guy do and say what he wants, or that’s how it appears. He’s what people consider when thinking or talking about the US. We don’t have any names quite big enough who can do some sort of (sane) rebuttal. Doctors apparently won’t do anything. Republicans won’t do anything. Democrats are not restraining him much because of being the smaller party in Congress (for lack of a better term) and being unable to potentially shove something down Republicans’ throats. Trump doesn’t have guardrails anymore. We have to watch him as much as possible, because we don’t know what catastrophic thing he’d do next. Aren’t you excited?

The world has noticed that if anything ‘good’ happens, Trump claims it was his effort. But if anything bad happens it’s the Democrats, Biden and Obama who take the blame.
And the world knows how petulant, childish, and stupid this sounds.

An important rule of journalism is to fully identify somebody on first reference. That means first, giving the person’s first and last name. Second would be explaining his relevance to the story. For instance, is he an economics professor? Is he a White House official? In this case, you never identified Nichols. Raw Story may well have identified him, but you didn’t share that with us.
