Well, folks they don’t come more deplorable than this.
Last Wednesday FBI agents arrest 61 year old James Catalano of Fresno, CA. On one charge of cyberstalking, for conducting a months long campaign of harassment against Parkland father Fred Guttenberg, who’s 14 year old daughter Jamie was killed, along with 16 others during the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Shooting in Parkland, Florida in 2018.
Guttenberg had incurred Catalano’s ire through his consistent, high profile efforts to affect gun control after his daughter’s death.
“Last December, Guttenberg—who is identified only as “F.G.” in the complaint—“began receiving a slew of harassing messages submitted to him through the contact page of his website,” the filing states. “Many of these messages referred to his daughter, the manner of her death, her pain and suffering as she was murdered, and his advocacy against gun violence.”
The messages—more than 200 in all—were automatically forwarded from Guttenberg’s website, FredGuttenberg.com, to his personal email, the complaint explains.”
The messages are as vile and grotesque as one might expect coming from a gun loving MAGA motherless bastard. I will post just one here, to illustrate their obscene and hate filled tone, but the linked article is not behind a paywall…if some with strong stomachs wish to read more.
On February 4th of this year Catalano posted to Guttenberg’s web page:
“fat-ass [Guttenberg], the victim with the dead daughter who is rotting in hell, still cannot commen [sic] on whoopi goldberg,” according to the complaint. “why? because she has black skin and a vagina. therefore, [Guttenberg] is scared. and that’s good. we want [Guttenberg] to be scared and not sleeping at night. fuck off [Guttenberg]. fuck joe biden.”
Soon after that message was posted Guttenberg’s webmaster added a ReCaptcha widget to his site and the feds were able to ascertain that the diatribes originated at IP addresses associated with Catalano’s home, and his real estate business J-C, Markets.Inc in Fresno.
Catalano is currently locked up pending bond although the judge in his case sought to release him immediately – before Guttenberg’s attorneys objected.
If convicted MAGA-trash faces up to 5 years in prison and a quarter million dollar fine, which, if the maximums are applied would be some sort of justice, I suppose, for the hurt and terror he no doubt caused Mr. Guttenberg, but that would probably not satisfy some:

Some, I think, must be born that way – or at the very least make themselves that way without parental assistance. I’m thinking od people like Stephen Miller and Paul Gosar, people whose entire family is appalled by then, and whose siblings are diametrically opposite to them politically and morally.
