Mad King Donald is on quite the roll. He’s decided, unilaterally and exclusively, that he will do whatever he wants and his tinpot, two-bit dictator companion, *President* Bukele is there to back him up today. They’re both strutting and peacocking and congratulating one another as they determine the fate of innocent people, simply because they can. This is never a pretty sight to see, it is the ugliest expression of the dark side of human nature. But coming from the Oval Office it is as tragic as it is shocking. It’s now pretty evident that Trump will continue to ignore court orders — unless and until Chief Justice John Roberts decides to take some kind of a stance on this matter and so far what we’ve heard from him is crickets.
America is no longer a nation of laws. It has no functioning government since Congress has abdicated its authority and court rulings are simply ignored. The country is now ruled by the whims of the idiot king & the oligarchs who profit from his insanity. It will not end well.

And of course there’s all the back and forth about “reporting at the White House is a privilege and not a right.” It should not be a “privilege” for the country’s oldest news organization, or any legitimate news organization, to be able to report the goings on in the White House. Other democratic countries are not having these dialogues, only we are. And Trump can’t be questioned on this topic. He simply gets ugly.

It’s amazing how quickly the ship of state is running aground. And again I ask, where is John Roberts? Is anybody going to speak on behalf of the Supreme Court and their ruling last week? Or what is going to happen now? Kilmar Abrego Garcia simply rots in prison, for the *crime* of being a random victim of Trump’s America?
And then Bukele goes and builds more prisons, as Trump requested, and those will be filled with U.S. citizens, ones that Trump can slap a “terrorist” label on?

If the rule of law isn’t the same for everybody, then there is no rule of law. I am hopeful that we will hear from Roberts or from some freaking body on the Supreme Court before the day wears on too much. This is beyond belief.

If Trumpites and MAGA care about nothing else, they claim they care about waste and abuse of their taxpayer dollars! The Trump/Bukele handshakes today, which received ovations in the Oval Office, are for this CECOT prison and 5 more! Bukele is happy to suck up the dollars Trump is promising, but what dollars are promised? I’m going to repeat what I said to your colleague, Susan, earlier about these deals:
The administration (AG, SecState, Chief of Staff Wiles, and that uberNazi Deputy Chief of Staff Miller) sat there with Trump and the Salvadoran despot and lied about what SCOTUS said. They lied about Abrego Garcia and all our other prisoners at the CECOT concentration camp calling them convicted animals; total dehumanization!! They lied about who has jurisdiction and they called this a matter of international relations rather than a business contract Trump made with another country without the permission of Congress but expecting Congress to pay the bill! Bukele of El Salvador acts as if he has received the cash!! When Trump announced he needs Bukele to build 5 more CECOTs so he can start sending our “homegrown criminals” to El Salvador, Bukele acted as if he was a Doritos commercial…”send all you want…we’ll make more room!”
Of course that’s what Trump wants! A place where he can disappear lawyers and journalists and protesters and Dems in Congress and then claim those enemies are gone forever because they were disappeared to a “sovereign country that we will not have the right to demand anything of!!” Holy Christ, how convenient is that?!
And, of course Bukele wants them! He is getting paid an exorbitant amount for each unit (don’t call them people, that ship has sailed)! How about some math! Currently, Bukele has a contract to jail 300 units for one-year for $6M. Where did that $6M in un-appropriated funds come from?! Has anyone even asked?! It works out to $1600/month for each unit ($400 more per month than US expats say it costs to live comfortably in El Salvador).
These prisoner units do not live comfortably! CECOT was built to house 20K units, but was quickly cramming 40K into that space. The units live on concrete, never go outside, receive no visitors, and get some “food” once a day. $1600/month in MY taxpayer dollars are going for that?!
And how about the Trump/Bukele plan for 5 more of these hellholes, which got rousing applause in the Oval Office today?! With no Congressional contract negotiations or funding appropriation, Trump and Bukele shook hands on space for 400K more units (or however many they can jam in there)! That will require a minimum of $12B a year in these magically-appearing taxpayer dollars to disappear our fellow “homegrowns” with no due process!! For how many years? Who knows when this regime will end?
And there will be no oversight of these taxpayer dollars. We only have 300 units being housed so far with no invoices or inventory audits! We don’t know if Abrego Garcia or any of the rest are still alive! Are we already paying Bukele for nothing? 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Please avoid sticking with their narrative by using “units”. We are talking about people, at best convicted criminals but, more likely, ordinary Joses dumped by Trump
I absolutely agree these are people. People who are being systematically dehumanized and disappeared. I have not adopted the narrative. I use their inhuman belief system to teach; to remind. To never again be cowed into thinking we are in a normal world. This is always their plan; to normalize the horrific and so far it has worked each time. For now, I believe it is better to use their language, throw it back at them, and destroy them with it.
Anyone who’s soul isn’t on fire for justice is either living in their own delusions driven essentially by fear, or, are dead on the inside. No moral conscience? No compassion for innocent children suffering at the evil hands of these rich bastards? No thought of the limited number of trips around the sun each of us are subject to…no exceptions? Then you are dead already inside, as you are also dead somewhere in space/time. Hey Mikey, since you are such a follower of Jesus…did you remember him talking about judgement before God, who knows your true heart? Uh oh.
He doesn’t acknowledge that they are three co-equal branches of government, including the judiciary. He only pays lip service to SCOTUS when they render a verdict he likes.
