The truth itself is under attack in this country, not just the First Amendment, although those two go hand in glove. Mad King Donald does not take it well when he’s criticized directly or even indirectly. He went completely bonkers tonight after he watched 60 Minutes, because two of the segments upset him. One was a segment with Volodomyr Zelensky done last Friday in Ukraine. If anything, Zelensky’s position has worsened since then. Just this morning, when so many people were at church for Palm Sunday, Ukraine was attacked and 32 people were killed. See if you can figure out what Trump’s issue is, other than plain, demented authoritarianism, because it’s certainly not evident at first blush.

Here’s the top of the tweet:
Here’s the Zelensky piece. It’s simple, factual and merely an update on what is still happening after three long years. But Trump wants to kill the messenger.
Here is the only Greenland clip I can find. It may not be the entire thing.
Here is the full 13-minute clip.
There is nothing here that would upset any normal minded person. But then again, that’s the point “normal minded.” I don’t know what is “inaccurate” or “fraudulent” over presenting clips of Trump saying exactly what he has said on both of these topics. But Donald finds much to object to.
Maybe he’ll chill out by morning. Or, maybe he’ll try to get CBS to settle the “defamation” case for an exhorbitant sum. Hopefully, they will not do that. ABC/Disney made a horrific decision when they settled with Trump for $15 million. And CBS could compound and expand upon that mistake.
Somebody has to tell the truth. And Trump can’t handle the truth. Let’s see what the morning brings. He’s probably going to have his hands full with yet another downturn in the stock market and that should get him off his journalism vendetta for a few hours or maybe the whole day.
We have a madman steering the ship of state. I’d say may heaven help us, but we got ourselves into this as a country. All of us are going to suffer, even the people who believe in this clown. Life is a spin on the old Benjamin Franklin quote, “If we don’t hang together, we shall surely hang separately.” As much as the mania for two countries, red states and blue states, for now we are only the United States. And the stupidity that this evil, venal, corrupt man is wreaking is going to affect all of us.
But evidently his followers can’t learn any other way. They need to see their savings and stocks debilitated, the costs of daily living go up, prescription prices mount up (again; they were high during Trump 1.0 and now they’re going back.) We are all in the school of hard knocks here. And Donald is making sure we get a Ph.D.

Friends, if you can spare a few coins to keep us putt putting through cyberspace, we would appreciate it. All donations and subscriptions go to pay overhead, the writers get paid after that and I get paid last. Thank you. Ursula

I think the tell is where he thinks that both of these pieces were “about Trump”. And you are right, he is a complete mad man.
I hope CBS reminds Drumpf that, as President, he CANNOT sue anyone. He does NOT have that right as President. When he returns to civilian life, he can sue whomever he wishes but there is NO LEGAL RIGHT for the President to sue anyone under ANY circumstances.
If he does try, I hope someone in the House files an article of impeachment against him for ABUSE OF POWER. Because that’s what it is if a President tries to sue anyone. The same rationale that keeps individuals from directly suing the President is basically what keeps the President from suing people or organizations. (SCOTUS, during Clinton’s administration at least–not that the Thomas/Alito bloc would recognize that particular precedent–ruled that individuals could sue the President for actions taken by the individual prior to becoming President. That’s why Paula Jones was able–through right-wing anti-Clinton firms–to sue Bill Clinton. SCOTUS at the time ruled that Clinton’s being President did not preclude him from being sued for actions done prior to Jan 20, 1993. Again, Thomas and Alito would be happy to left Drumpf escape being sued for any actions he took at any time.)
🤬 Trump’s goal in taking over Greenland, BAMN, Is exactly the same as helping Putin take Ukraine, BAMN!! [Of course, both of the despots prefer war and shoot-’em-up as their By Any Means Necessary!]
They want the rich mineral deposits in both countries! They just don’t want to pay for them. They want to “own” them and get paid by the mining companies!
The leaders of both countries, including Zelenskyy while he is in the midst of war, are willing to share that wealth for the benefit of their citizens. Trump and Putin don’t share their toys and are unable to accept Win-Win. They only recognize Win!
Trump is the world’s greatest failed businessman…legendary! But, he does have a snout for where the ka-ching is! He smells it in Ukraine, in Greenland, and in Gaza. His ugly snout is absolutely erect over these money pits!!
And, the worst people in our country made Trump the world’s greatest failed businessman with the world’s greatest military as his own. What could go wrong? We know that answer…we are living (and dying) it!! 🤨
A madman at the helm in a storm in uncharted waters.
