For over 12 hours a racist meme depicting Michelle and Barack Obama as primates and Hakeem Jeffries as a smaller species of ape was playing on Truth Social and then it went to Twitter. In the background was the musical theme, “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” with the lion being Donald Trump.
There were all kinds of side insults, Hillary Clinton as a warthog, Chuck Schumer as a giraffe, J.B. Pritzker as an elephant — and they all bowed down to the lion as he strode through the jungle.
At first Karoline Leavitt said that it was no biggy and to focus on important things and then the outcry got too bad and the tape was removed. It’s a shame if you missed it, it was a racist doozy. Washington Post:
The clip, shared in the middle of Black History Month, was one of several posted to Trump’s account overnight. Other posts included an eight-minute-long video reposting another user of the social media platform who said it was aimed to “educate” viewers “on Black Conservative history all February.” A different commentary video called the Democratic Party “anti-Black.”
Trump made gains with minority groups during the 2024 presidential election. Trump won about 15 percent of Black voters, roughly doubling his share from four years earlier and garnering the largest share of the Black vote of any Republican presidential candidate in at least a quarter-century. Since taking office, however, his approval rating among Black Americans has dropped.
Sen. Tim Scott (R-South Carolina), the sole Black Republican member of the Senate, wrote on X that he was “praying” the video “was fake because it’s the most racist thing I’ve seen out of this White House.”
“The President should remove it,” Scott, who chairs the National Republican Senatorial Committee, added.
I guess if it’s too racist for Tim Scott, then that’s that.

“I guess if it’s too racist for Tim Scott, then that’s that.”
Well, only until Drumpf calls for a primary challenger against Scott (even though Scott won’t be running again until 2030), then Scott will say he was “misquoted by the woke media” to make nice with Dumb Donald.
Being the emotionally immature caudal valve that ‘P’OTUS is (one of many negatives) it’s always someone else’s fault, along with being the victim in a scenario that he created.
Even without the blatant racism against President and Mrs. Obama, when did people become so jaded that Trump can declare himself *king*, even jokingly, and it’s “no big deal.”? Lyin’ King suits him better.
