Which is it? Are we at war, or are we at a ceasefire? Trump has changed his tune yet another time, and this was already old news months ago. It’s as if he changes his mind not just day to day, but hour to hour. Hegseth has to be sweating bullsht right now. If a peace agreement is worked out, or even a ceasefire, he’s not really needed anymore. Well, at least not for that. But that is pretty big. He’s made a lot of changes and a lot of mistakes in those changes.
But we were talking about Trump. Only a few days after he told us that he’s going to start attacking Iran again, we have this potential agreement on the table. Will Iran even believe it’s possible? Hard to tell, but probably not. Trump may change his mind tomorrow back to attacking, so it blows any effort out of the water, no pun intended.
Iran was sitting pretty by controlling the Strait of Hormuz, but when they started letting ships through, the vessels ran into the US blockade. The whole damn *world* is tired of Trump and Iran. No one will help, and well, they shouldn’t. This war is illegal; it’s making prices skyrocket, and there is a scarcity, so they want nothing to do with this. Trump thinks he has control of the Strait, which makes us wonder how much of his brain is honestly gone. Iran controls it. Trump should have opened the damn blockade when Iran said they would let ships through for a week.
This is hard on our people, sitting there staring at other ships in the group and the never-ending background of water, water, and more water. It’s hard on our ships, too. At a guess, this means our ships are going to take longer to be brought up to spec whenever they get to go home. We already know what happened on the USS Lincoln, thanks to family “whistleblowers”. It was surprising, and then when you think about it, it wasn’t. 9 months at sea.

Trump is like one of those cat clocks where the eyes look back and forth in time with the tail clicking. Back and forth until *everyone* is tired of this thing and wants it to end, however it’s done. We certainly are. It’s been a good topic, although Denis is *much* better at the military aspect.
But it’s a tiring topic. There are only so many ways to say Trump is an idiot and an ass. There are only so many ways to say his mind is going. We haven’t run out of physical issues yet. The war needs to stop. It has cost us far too much. Just let it be over and bring our people home.
