You knew Donald Trump was an ignoramus, but this is stretching it a bit far. He’s all up in a tither today over the fact that the prosecution has an “unfair advantage.” Yes, and what might that be, pray tell? Why, can you believe this? The prosecution gets to have the final word in a trial. This is unthinkable to Trump. He needs to have the last word always. Probably his lawyers have attempted to explain to him that the rationale behind this format is that the prosecution goes last because the burden of proof is on them to make the case. This is how it’s always been done. Nevertheless, Donald is making it seem like he’s personally being discriminated against.

You’d think that as a man who’s gotten his education from watching TV that he might have seen an episode or two of some legal show. We know he used to watch Perry Mason. Apparently even the nuances of that was over his head.

What is hilarious here, and the humor is totally lost on Trump and his cult, is that all the man has done the night before trial wraps up is prove how abysmally stupid he is. It’s not like this is some obscure point of law or that some kind of a con job is being pulled on him. That’s just how it is. The People, in a criminal trial, get the last word in because it’s The People’s case. The prosecution is supposed to wrap it all up with a bow and hand it to the jury.

But of course Trump, being terminally unique, wants to be treated differently. It will be quite the show tomorrow. What I’m waiting for is his human printer, Natalie Harp (who reportedly posted that dreadful Nazi “Unified Reich” video a few days ago) to print out the latest epistles from Jonathan Turley, Gregg Jarrett, et al., which say that there’s no crime, no case, no nothing. And then I can’t wait for the day of actual sentencing (oh, please, let it come. I’ll be good, God, I’ll never ask for anything) and hear them say the same thing.

Maybe Trump can have Natalie visit him in the House Of Many Doors and bring him these missives there. That is, assuming for the sake of argument, that Natalie is still getting paid six figures in Trump world and makes house calls. A whole lotta things are going to be different as Trump goes broker and broker.

And at the end of all this, however, it ends, Trump will be worse off than Jay Gatsby. At least Gatsby had one genuine friend, his lodger in the cottage. He came to his funeral. None of the rest of the people who partied at Gatsby’s house did, they just went looking for the next party, because that’s what people like that do.

Wait for Melania to remarry somebody with a lot of money. Maybe even Vladimir, who knows? Those who live by the buck die by the buck — or more accurately, the lack of the buck.

I can’t wait until the narrative in this situation shifts to whether Joe Biden will pardon him or not? Those are going to be some good days ahead for America. Trump, the small man behind the curtain with the big con game, is going to be exposed for who and what he really is.

  1. “I can’t wait until the narrative in this situation shifts to whether Joe Biden will pardon him or not?” β€” I can’t wait either, because that’s when Trump finds out that Biden can’t pardon him even if he wants to, because this trial was under the jurisdiction of the State of New York.
P.S. When I say “even if he wanted to,” I am sure he doesn’t β€” but the point is, Biden’s off the hook.

    • I think we all of us here realize that fact won’t stop tRumph from screaming about how unfair it was for Biden to NOT have have pardoned him! πŸ™‚

  2. Your β€œβ€¦ What is hilarious here … is that all the man has done … is prove how abysmally stupid he is…” Yep! Looks like Don Don is fast finding out that his hell is a lonely, barren and uncontrollable echo chambered wasteland, of his own making.

  3. I swear the totality of Donald Trump’s knowledge could fit on the head of a pin.

With enough room to include the US Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, the full text of the Magna Charta, and the King James Version of the Bible.

And there’d still be room for most of the United States Code to be included.
