My goodness gracious, what is the world coming to? Fox News, of all places, is unhappy with Trump. And he’s going to be unhappy when he sees it. The waffling back and forth with what’s going on in Iran is making them (more) nuts. It seems that Fox News isn’t all Trump all the time anymore. Even they are seeing the cracks in the ‘president’. What’s wrong with this picture? With thanks to Raw Story:

Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy seemed to tire of President Donald Trump’s doublespeak on the Iran conflict and pressed him to define the operation. “And we did a little excursion. We had to take this little couple of weeks, a few weeks of excursion, but it’s been incredible,” Trump said while touring a factory in Ohio on Wednesday. “Our military is unbelievable, the job they’re doing. I would say, to put it mildly, way ahead of schedule. We’ve knocked out their Navy, their military in it, all forms. We’ve knocked out just about everything there is, including their leadership, twice. We knocked out twice their leadership.”

Okay, how did I miss taking out two leaders, not just one? What have I missed? Because, as far as we know at this time, the new leader has been injured but is generally fine. But “excursion”? Give me a break. Military attacks are not an “excursion”. One of those would be going to see, say, Stonehenge, or Kilauea, not Iran attacks. We don’t want to go visit Iran and see the pounding they are being given. Nope, stay far, far away.

“Now they have a new group coming up,” he continued. “Let’s see what happens to them. But 47 bad years we suffered with them, not only us, but the rest of the world. We’re doing our jobs. So we had to take an excursion, but it’s going well.” “You just said it is a little excursion, and you said it is a war,” Doocy noted. “So, which one is it?”

That question likely blindsided Trump *hard*, especially coming from Fox News. How many other news organizations wanted to ask the same thing, but didn’t because of the potential for being kicked out of the Press Room? We think it’s a war. If it acts like, looks like, and hears like it’s a war, it is definitely a war. Not an “excursion”. It’s extremely unlikely that it would change anyone’s mind about a war.

It’s both,” Trump replied. “It’s an excursion that will keep us out of a war. And the war is going to be, I mean, for them it’s a war. For us, it’s turned out to be easier than we thought.” “But think of it, they had thousands of missiles, 7, 8,000 missiles,” he added. “We got many of them before they got to launch. They have drones everywhere. We got many now, we’re knocking out the drone plants, as you know, going fast.”

So did he count all the missiles that Iran shot off? I want to know where that number came from. Thousand of missiles is one thing. Specific quantities are another. Got many before they could launch. Drones everywhere. Okay, those are pretty words. Give us the proof. We need data. We don’t need blustering, blathering, or word salad. Since he never thinks about what he’s saying, words are about all we’re going to get. No, this is not new.

See you soon!

Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise that among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

  1. Meanwhile, five ships (and counting), are on fire in the Persian Gulf and The Strait Of Hormuz after Iranian drone attacks, while Dimwit Donny claims the area is safe and secure,

And this is after a billion dollars worth of expensive US missiles have been expended to ‘take out’ Iran’s capability, (and incidentally using up almost the entire stock of expensive missiles the US actually has – and which can’t be replaced nearly as quickly as they were used).

Iran’s use of $20,000/ a time Saheed drones is looking hugely effective and contrasts strongly with Trump’s refusal to take up Ukraine’s kind offer of assistance in drone warfare, an area they’ve been forced to be expert in by Russia’s use of the same drones. At the time Trump told Zelensky that Zelensky didn’t hold any cards, it turns out that Zelensky had a handful of Aces.

    • Ouch, I didn’t know it was up to 5. I’m really hoping Iran stays away from the liquid natural gas ships. One of those going would be devastating. Plus, Iran has laid mines in the Strait, too. The thing that bugs me is that those cargo ships should be considered non-combatants. It’s not their fault the US and Israel were imbeciles. I may be alone in that, thought.

I had figured we were almost out of munitions. We may have some ‘old-style’ things left which would probably be easy to defend against. I’d have to ask Denis his opinion, because I know the word missile but really, not a damn thing about them, except they’re expensive. Now everyone is going to be annoying each other because the ‘big stuff’ is gone. And Pootie is coaching Iran. He’s probably sent them a bunch of drones. Alo see a later piece I wrote today. Heh.

President Zelenskyy, I hope you’re laughing your arse off at the US. He doesn’t just have a handful of Aces. His *entire deck* is Aces.
