It must be amazing to be 76 years old and never have faced consequences. This is definitely one for the psychology textbooks, let alone the history ones. And what is mindboggling about this, is that the consequences he’s facing are not lightweight. He’s getting arraigned on a criminal case by the Manhattan district attorney. This is not small potatoes.
On some visceral level Trump realizes this.
Hence, he’s been venting on Truth Social. A few days ago Trump biographer David Cay Johnston opined that Trump uses Truth Social as a way to process his fear, because he has no other way. Very possibly so. But insulting the judge and his family, a few hours before you step into a court of law is not a good idea. I wonder what his fancy new white-shoe law firm lawyer, Todd Blanche thinks about this technique of Trump’s? And just by the by, Blanche got Paul Manafort’s indictment dismissed, which was a blow to Cyrus Vance’s office at the time. That, my friends, is the miracle of jurisprudence that Blanche is supposed to bring to pass for Donald Trump.

First he trashes the Democrats, naturally. And then, he switches to his own party and trashes Republicans.
As you see, this was posted at approximately 10:00 a.m. ET. One would think Trump would have vented enough and one would be wrong. His anxieties know no boundaries. So he apparently watched Fox News and went ballistics.
It’s all Bill Barr’s fault. And mind you, Barr said he would vote for this raving lunatic if he ran again and got the nomination.
That’s the issue before the GOP right now. Or, what’s left of the GOP. Do they really want to put this man back on the ticket?
You know that there have got to be backroom conversations going on right now where Republicans are weighing their options. I can’t see Trump’s state of mind improving and if the bulk of the GOP, yes, Jim Jordan and crazies, we’re talking about you, continue to try to do both-siderism or defend Trump, they may lose badly in the House. They’re holding the House by a thread right now.
Republicans have a lot of seats in play in the Senate, but how is all this Trumpmania publicity going to do them any good there?
The GOP needs to divorce itself from Trump or they may see 2024 being a worse version of 2022. That is a very real possibility that exists as Trump continues to deteriorate mentally and savage the party publicly. And that’s not going to stop, it’s going to get worse.

This is exactly what is going to put the philandering fumarole in jail. I hope Justice Merchan slaps a gag order on him and sets a multi-million dollar bail to keep him from violating it. Cut him no slack.

Someone needs to tell TFG changes of venue are brought for consideration by one’s attorney(s). Any judge influenced by s.m. shouldn’t be anywhere near a courtroom.
