We all know Trump is losing his mind. We know he comes up with strange things. This time, he seems to be saying something about the economy after he dismissed “affordability” as a “fake word.” It will boggle all of you, too. Are you ready for this? Thanks to The New Republic via Raw Story:
President Donald Trump’s recent “strange tirade” on social media left the hosts of The New Republic’s “Daily Blast” podcast stunned Friday, noting that the social media rant appears to be the “first time” the president has “acknowledged real numbers” as his support among key demographics continues to plummet.
Trump’s online rant – where he asked when he would receive his due “credit” for his accomplishments – came after new polling suggested that Hispanic voters who helped Trump sail to victory last year were abandoning him in droves. “When will Polls reflect the Greatness of America at this point in time, and how bad it was just one year ago?” Trump mused on his social media platform Truth Social on Thursday.
Hmmm. We all know he loves his polls. But he doesn’t love polls that show how *badly* he’s doing as “president”. And we should agree that he really is paying attention to all polls, which is surprising. He loves his “fake news” too. But when *all* pools show him getting with close to the water, or further under water, then yea, he needs to acknowledge reality with what mind he has left. It’s not very much, but…..
“I’m kind of shocked – this might be the first time that Donald Trump has acknowledged real numbers!” William Saletan said, appearing on the “Daily Blast” podcast on Friday. “He’s denying the real numbers about the economy… I watch everything he says, I have notes on it, [and] I can’t count the number of times he has said since he’s been back in power that prices are coming down.” The host of the podcast, The New Republic’s Greg Sargent, concurred that Trump’s rant suggested that he knew “he’s in political trouble,” labeling the online post as a “strange tirade.”
Strange tirade, indeed. The economy sucks, and we all know it, even MAGA. The polls show how unhappy we are in America. Money is tight everywhere (unless you’re a gazillionaire, and we won’t get started on that). We barely have enough to pay our bills and still eat. Have people had to start to only eat rice yet? Yea, it’s that tight. This is ridiculous, and a large part of it is that Congress won’t control the damn tariffs. Screw you, Republicans of Congress. They’re wimps, doing whatever their orange god wants because of CACA (Congress Always Chickens Out), and most won’t even try to stand up to him. The Epstein document releases were a fluke. It was an awesome fluke, but we do not need to count on anything like that happening again.
Among Trump’s greatest electoral hurdles has been the economy, which has continued to plague Americans with inflation and rising costs, despite Trump’s claims to the contrary. “He lies about the numbers, and then the problem is Americans, of course, who actually go to grocery stores and buy things, are like ‘actually, that doesn’t seem to be true,’” Saletan continued. “He’s denied it, and I’m just kind of shocked at that post because it acknowledges at least the indirect truth of the polls being negative on him.”
Well, we’re stunned too, or at least I was. There’s a bit more to the article. Just click on the top link for Raw Story. You could also listen to the podcast if you have a way to do so, as that link is also included. Maybe with Trump’s musings about going to heaven, and his body is failing, and in the dark recesses of his tiny little mind, he’s acknowledging reality. That’s incredibly rare for him, but I think we all will take it. There’s not much else that’s good happening in this country.
Friends, I know everyone begs you for money, especially around the holidays. I promise, among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

Your “… Trump’s musings … going to heaven, … body is failing, … he’s acknowledging reality. … rare for him, … not much else that’s good happening in this country…” are topical, and so very on point. But at some point, hopefully before he hits his mortal coil use-by-date, he’s legally placed into secured care, not for his own good, but for tge good of this country and it’s people. This raises an issue about the individuals that are currently advising him, who wind his daily spring and and pull his impressionable strings, and their capacities and abilities to step up to the plate, if T goes – they won’t cope, nor last, if caught in the spot light of real politics with integrity. They will then find it impossible to exist, except in the political shadows as the manipulative cockroaches they are. Eventually they’ll hit their own use-by-date, and none too soon, too. Justice will be served and their walls will come tumbling down.
