Just when you thought that Trump couldn’t possibly demonize undocumented immigrants further, he is now stating that illegal immigrants are responsible for insects at his rally in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin – as if Wisconsin isn’t infamous for flies, fleas, ticks, mosquitoes and the like. Even weirder, due to security concerns, Trump was speaking indoors at an arena – you would think that he might have blamed the arena staff, if anyone is to blame at all. They did, in fact, just bring thousands of people in. What does that say about Trump supporters, not so much undocumented immigrants?

Regardless, the accusation was as stupid as it was offensive:

“Oh there’s a fly,” Trump said Saturday. “Oh. I wonder where the fly came from. See, two years ago, I wouldn’t have had a fly up here. But they’re changing rapidly. We can’t take it any longer.”

Who wants to tell him? Two years ago was 2022 when Biden was president and if he means the winter of 2022 it is possible that it wouldn’t have happened because Wisconsin is sort of famous for its winters, too. If anything is changing rapidly it is the climate, pushing flies and other insects further north later in the year. But that makes sense so that isn’t his rationale, either. Here is the video:

Yes, well – this is the same rally in which he said that an undocumented immigrant (He calls them “illegals”) will come into your kitchen and slit your throat – he actually said that. He wants to demonize the people who are here to work in a failed system, one that Trump already tanked so badly that even Mitch McConnell cried out that Trump pulled the rug out of what would’ve been Congress’s seminal achievement of the year – a new tougher immigration bill. From NBC News:

This week Senator McConnell explicitly said why the toughest, fairest bipartisan border legislation in modern American history is stalled: ‘our nominee for president did not seem to want us to do anything at all,’” White House spokesperson Andrew Bates said in an email Thursday.

So we have a two-fer, Trump pinning more needless hate in a disgusting fly-ridden message – “dirty immigrants” and all the while Trump is blowing up potential breakthroughs in legislating a better system.

The net was not impressed as the comments shot out on “X.”

Yes, that was also from today’s rally but this was exceptionally cruel and the crowd roared, you will note. This man might be feeling the pressure of an intense campaign waged by the Kamala Harris camp. How he can blame immigrants for a fly that was perhaps brought in by his own supporters is utterly inane.

Trump wants to be president and there is way too good a chance that he might well ascend again. He will be more dangerous while just as ridiculous.

    • Why speak of the elephant in the room right? Or rather, the elephant’s dirty diaper in the room.

You know, he probably should be a little more careful how he denigrates others given how easily those same insults can be cast at him. Of course that would require forethought on his part and, well, that’s never going to happen.

I do not see, outside of the kindred spirit factor of stupidity and racism, why his cult still stands by him. You’d think eventually he’d be too demented even for them.

  1. Those aren’t flies…they’re miniature robots tracking your every move. I bet they were used in the attempts you’ve experienced. Better stay indoors locked in your room with a flyswatter. I hear putin has an army of flies.
