What a fool believes, he sees, we’re told by the old song. And the old guy in the White House shows us the wisdom of that lyric once again. As you’ve heard, Maria Corina Machado did a Hail Mary pass with her Nobel Peace Prize, by handing it over to Donald Trump. Anybody with awareness or dignity would have refused the offer of the prize, but Trump has neither, so of course he took the medal. And he made this comment, which shows that he believes now that justice has been done, with him in physical possession of this past year’s prize.

You see? It was “presented” to Trump “for the work I’ve done.” Naturally. You deserve it, Pal. Maria Corina Machado sees the truth and so she gave it to you, even after the Nobel Committee made it clear that the honor itself is non transferrable or shareable.
But maybe this is a good thing. Maybe now Trump will STFU up about the Nobel Peace Prize. Ya think? Nah. He’ll be campaigning soon for the 2026 version of it to be delivered to him.
But for the moment at least he’s got something that Obama has got, the difference being that Obama earned his for real; he didn’t get it from some desperate stateswoman trying to help her turmoil-ridden country.
I feel sorry for Machado. Unless I miss my guess, Trump will now dump her like the proverbial hot potato.
This may be the most desperate and pathetic thing that has happened since Trump has been in the public eye and God knows that is saying something. Who in their right mind would accept somebody else’s physical Nobel Peace Prize — knowing full well that it’s the symbol only, and that the actual honor was awarded to another person? Contemplate what kind of a *mind* would do that and then realize that’s who occupies our highest office.

no he doesn’t know the medal is only a symvol. the actual physical medal is all that matters to him and it’s now his. what it represents is something he can’t comprehend. and if he did manage to wrap his little mind around it he would fail to see any value. i’m pretty sure machado was hoping to buy the removal of trump’s little hands from around her country’s throat. she ain’t gonna get that. and for crap’s sake don’t tell him there’s a check too or she’ll be left with nothing.
