I’d say this is crossing the Rubicon but why be redundant? The poor Rubicon, it once was a red line and now it’s a dance floor. But it’s Trump 2.0, so what can you expect? The sitting *president* is not a president. Not that that is news. Trump got elected a second time because his lies went off the charts. If there was a Richter scale for lies, like there is for earthquakes, a dooms level of lying was reached during the campaign. 90 trade deals in 90 days we were told. Um…we have one deal so far, with a country that we have a trade surplus with, so that’s hardly a victory. Peace in Ukraine in one day. You remember all the big ones.

If you’ve been following the news today, Trump has been dropping papers and making gaffes and he looks like a total fool at the G7. So either he decided to leave Canada, because his fee fees were hurt and he knows they’re laughing at him, or Susie and Marco decided that since nothing constructive was going to happen anyhow, that they might as well stop playing possum and go home. The U.S. flopped at the G7 Summit, 2025 edition, and history will record that fact. Here’s the cover story.

I don’t believe for one minute that Trump is leaving the G7 Summit to go back to Washington and do something constructive about Iran because if he was capable of doing something constructive about Tehran being evacuated, its State TV facility being bombed, and all the other exploding stories that occur every several hours, what better place to do that something than at the G7? Surrounded by like minded leaders of western civilization? Whose input is invaluable and whose working together for peace would mean a great deal?

No, if Trump had a remote clue, he would have played that card already. He doesn’t have a clue about the exploding situation in the Middle East. He’s just been making an ass out of himself at the G7 and he wants to go home. And I daresay that given how bad this morning went, that Marco Rubio and Susie Wiles are relieved. At least with Trump leaving after dinner, the worst that can happen has already happened and they don’t have to sit there with clenched jaws wondering what their idiot boss will say — or drop — next.

And it’s probably a relief to the other six heads of state. They don’t need this asshole around. He contributes nothing and only impedes the progress that could be being made.

The global realignment continues. We see that happening before our eyes. A weakened United States, weakened by the hand of its own electorate, is losing power in the world because of this imbecile that inhabits the Oval Office — when he’s not on the golf course.

The world will keep spinning and men and women of talent, ability, and the right intentions in other countries will work around the United States. It’s an embarrassment, but it’s hardly a shock. And mark this day well, the 16th of June: it’s only the beginning. There is no summit or Oval Office meeting or any interaction between Trump and world leaders which won’t be a photo op first and a complete waste of time, in terms of substance. Trump has nothing to give. Unless Rubio can come up with a plan that he can sell to Trump and make Trump give voice to, the situation abroad is hopeless. And maybe that was concluded today and that pushed the decision to go back to Washington.

Let’s take back the House and impeach this stupid, pathetic excuse for a man who never should have gotten into politics, let alone at the presidential level. Maybe by a miracle we can take back the Senate, too, and actually run him out of town.

  1. In 2026, the House, maybe. But the Senate is a pipe dream, and even if we get a majority, we won’t have enough to convict him.
Looks like we’re stuck with him until 2028. Unless the “cheeseburders” take his fat a$$ out.

  2. We’ll jump off that bridge when we get to it. There probably wasn’t one across the Rubicon when Caesar and his legions waded pass the point of no return back in the day, but if there were, trump would find himself in its middle with the entrance and exits blocked.

On the one hand his christo-fascist MAGAs want him to move forward and declare war on Iran as a fulfillment of biblical prophesy (and the beginning of the Apocalypse), and on the other his America-first wing wants no more foreign wars. Since Israel simply doesn’t have the capacity to wage a protracted war with Iran and put boots on the ground in that country, leaving Iran without removing Kahmenei would guarantee the underground weapons program would move forward at warp speed.

So, the only option left is to gain control of Tehran and install a western-friendly interim government that could gradually take control of the country and drive the Islamic militants out. That seems to be Netanyahu’s objective and Prince Reza Pahlavi, the son of the exiled Shah, appears to be ready to return and form a government as soon as the city has been taken and stabilized.

If trump were any kind of a statesman, he would have used the G7 meeting to work out a plan to put together a multi-national force that could enter Tehran and maintain law and order. A new government would take root and Iranians, who have been hoping for regime change for decades, would rise up throughout the country and drive out Khamenei loyalists. That would take months or years, but there’s a chance it could work.

But trump is as far from statesman as Farfarout is from the Sun. So, we’ll be watching an old, decaying man rapidly descend into paralysis while the true statesmen of the planet try to work out a solution. Let’s hope.
