Donald Trump is now getting into the Irwin Allen portion of his presidency. What we’re seeing him do today in Los Angeles is the equivalent of drafting a bad disaster movie script. Los Angeles is not “occupied.” There are no “Illegal Aliens and Criminals” no space aliens and so far Godzilla has not walked out of the surf at Venice Beach, but then again the day is young. But Trump is not and his fantasy life has taken over completely. So here is his latest salvo into cyberspace. You will cringe — and as a Los Angeleno for most of my life, I howl — at the cavalcade of kooks that are supposed to save and “liberate” the City of Angels. OMFG. This is the federal government in 2025, a kakistocric cartoon.

And Pete Hegseth is dying to send in the Marines. One Marine, at least, is not too thrilled about this possibility.

And what will Kristi Noem do? Or Pam Bondi? Since when does the Attorney General get involved in military decisions, anybody know? Oh, and lookey here, the Deputy Director of the FBI is on the warpath.

Only the best people. And they’re determined to not only huff and puff but shed blood.

This is not the Rodney King riots, not even close. I talk to people in Los Angeles every day. This is Trump doing television because television is all he knows how to do. It’s a shame that his father wouldn’t bankroll him to become a movie producer. If Trump had gone to Hollywood as a young man and produced a lot of garbage, he might have gotten it all out of his system. Instead, we have the old Trump, with unresolved drives, and he’s using the resources of the federal government to stage his Cecil B. DeMille level extravaganzas.
At least that’s the plan. It’s anybody’s guess at this point how this is all going to wash out. What I fear is that Hegseth or one of these lunatics will overstep their bounds and people will get hurt. We are inching towards that possibility by the minute.
