It isn’t like they didn’t have their chances. The GOP had their dream scenario on their plate, a 9/11 style independent commission, with equal representation, and equal subpoena rights, and the ability to ask unlimited questions. But McCarthy and McConnell decided to pump for Trump’s delicate fee-fees, and the panel was voted down.
And then House Speaker Nancy Pelosi gave them a second chance. Five seats on the House Permanent Select Committee on the January 6th insurrection. But Kreepy Kevin McCarthy had to play fast and loose with his selections to the panel, and now the GOP has no loyalists to ask pointed questions. Oh, there are two Republicans on the panel, giving them the quorum they need to proceed, But they are Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, both stout anti Trump Republicans, and no help at all.
And now the GOP is getting hammered, with no way to fight back. The committee held an open hearing, with 4 brave officers who fought tooth and nail to defend the GOP Quislings that now oppose them, and their testimony, and the result was brutal. And it lives on. More and more Democratic aligned PAC’s and Super PAC’s are putting out ads crucifying the GOP for their transparent lies, and featuring the testimony of the officers. And not only is it not going to stop, it’s already getting worse.
Today a sad, pathetic deluded Trump supporter drove his black, of course, pickup truck onto the sidewalk to the Library of Congress, and calmly called 911 to advise that he hade a bomb, and enough other planted bombs to take out about two square blocks of the Capitol. In a rambling and incoherent monologue that lice streamed on Facebook, he Demanded that Biden and other Democrats immediately resign and face arrest and trial, so that El Pendejo Presidente, and not Vice President Kamala Harris be reinstated as President. After 5 tense hours, he wussed out, crawled out of his vehicle, and was taken into custody by Capitol Hill police. A true Trombie, no viable bombs were found.
This is a media disaster for the GOP. They have gone all inn on denying the facts of the January 6th insurrection. The committee hearings will continue, and they’re getting hammered in political ads over the insurrection. And now they have 5 solid hours of a potential bomb scare with a mentally ill Trump supporter demanding that The Cheeto Prophet be reinstated to the Oval Office. And sadly, this won’t be the end of it.
Last week the DHS and the FBI released a warning that for the rest of 2021, the potential of violent domestic terrorism, based at least in part on political grievance issues, put us at risk of further threats and attacks. And looking around, I don’t see any Democrats with a whole lot of political grievances out there.
There will be more of these. It’s inevitable. And hopefully they all end up with deluded puddle heads who are all hat and no cattle. It every time it happens, it only naturally draws attention back to the January 6th riot, which the GOP is desperate to put in the rear view mirror.
The GOP went all in on the Trump base on the Capitol riot, in order to avoid a primary from the right from Trump supporters next year. But Trump supporters can’t get you elected dog catcher. And every time something like this happens, with either implied violence, or worse yet actual physical violence, it turns off moderate suburban Republicans, soft Republicans, independents, and soft Democratic voters that the GOP is desperately trying to woo in 2022. They should have just owned up to it, let the investigation go on, and turn the page. As Mama Gump loved to say, Stupid is as stupid does.

Mass stupidity of the GOP voter has made the lawmakers rich, allowed them to steal power,(frump/russia; congress/gerryrigging), & avoid prosecution when the law would have brutally swept in on average joe/Jill. It’s about time Karma woke the phuck up. By the way your typo ‘lice’ was actually accurate. They are the bloodsuckers of humanity, but I fear they need more than coming clean,(they never will); they need a stake through where their heart should be, but isn’t. Let’s end their reign of terror by being smart & a ruthless warrior for democracy. Whatever rules they make, be sure to get started early AND VOTE.
Okay, so maybe it’s best not to question the reasoning skills of someone who makes bombs (sort of)…but what did he think was going to happen? He had to know that this was going to land him in jail for a long time, right? I don’t get why someone would go offer themselves up to decades-long prison time like that.

He is mentally ill. As are many of the trumpsters. In his deluded alternate reality, he was going to be the hero who made the evil Biden resign and orange turd happily ever after. They really live in an alternate universe that Fox and talk radio created for them. There will be no happily ever after but there is no way to convince them they are the victims of a huge corporate scam decades in the making.

Yep, pretty bad when half the gop paints a pretty picture of the whole riot not being violent and gop people. Then the president and the other half come out and own it. And on another note, I just watched the president speak about the taliban and Afghanistan. First place he didn’t look sleepy to me. He has a funny way to talk which is due mostly to his stutter and being from the northeast. You going to call him out for that. Go f@ck yourself.
Joe Biden is a good man , always has been . Losing his son took a lot out of him , he also lost his first wife and daughter in a car accident . He knows sorrow & pain . We are lucky to have him.
