Brittney Griner is a genuine American Sports hero.
In the Tokyo Summer Olympics in Tokyo last year (the 2020 games were delayed one year due to Covid 19 concerns) Griner led Team USA to the Gold Medal podium with a record setting dominant performance, a thrilling and gratifying result for all right thinking Americans.

Now, I am an Olympics junkie, but I understand that not everyone shares my enthusiasm for the games.
But what I do not understand those Americans who would openly demean Griner upon her release from a Russian jail or the Biden Administration for facilitating it.
Who amongst us doubts that if Griner had been a Bible toting conservative white female athlete, instead of a black lesbian, conservative commentators would have been clamoring for her release and attacking the President for taking so long to arrange it?
Instead, following the lead of their Grand Poohbah of Racism and phony grievances…

Yeah, that complaint is pretty easily refuted, Addison, Trump was offered the exact same deal, Bout for Whelan when Whelan was first arrested in 2018. He refused it.
