Oh, this just keeps getting better and better. How many times have I reminded all of you that Trump literally has the attention span of a gamboling puppy? Well, that mental shortcoming is about to put Traitor Tot in an orange jumpsuit if he’s actually stupid enough to go to trial on the January 6th charges.

Regardless of which mainstream network you’re watching, MSNBC, CNN, ABC or CBS, even if only on Sundays, you’re already very well acquainted with one of the burning issues of trying to prosecute Trump on charges of inciting an insurrection, or seditious conspiracy. And that burning issue is criminal intent.

If you’re a prosecutor at trial, you can’t just say in closing, Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that the defendant knew full well what he was doing was wrong, and criminal in nature. It’s nice that you’re able to sleep well at night knowing that, but the jury doesn’t know any such thing.

Which is where criminal intent comes in. The prosecutor has to prove to the jury, with admissible evidence that the defendant knew at the time he acted that what he was doing was wrong. Which is why both the J6 committee as well as the Smith investigators are talking to anybody who was in the same zip code as Trump following his election loss, the object being to find people in contact with Traitor Tot who actually heard him admit that he had lost the election. That’s criminal intent.

And El Pendejo Presidente set that minefield for them. Months before the general election, His Lowness started screeching at his rallies that the only way he could lose this election was if it was stolen from him at the ballot box. crazy like a fox, Trump, who already understood that he was in deep sh*t in this election, Trump started planting the seeds of election delusion. Whatever happened, he was already convinced that the election was stolen. So much for criminal intent.

Well, Jack Smith just uncovered the key to Aladdin’s Cave of Wonders. MSNBC is reporting that Smith is keying in on a meeting held in the Oval Office in February of 2020. This was some nine months before the November general election. In the meeting were a number of election security experts, including DHS computer security savant Chris Krebs.

The content of the meeting was simple and straightforward. Led by Krebs, the election security experts advise Trump that it was literally impossible to hack in and change the results of a presidential election. They listed one of the strengths of the system being its complexity. You had 50 different states with 50 different machines, security and procedures. There was no way to hack through enough of those systems to alter the eventual outcome of the presidential race.

And you know what? Trump f*cking loved it! Absolutely delusional in his belief of beating a loser like Biden in a general election, the security of the election was music to his ears. In fact FrankenTrump wanted to hold a press conference where he could extol the security of our elections, and take personal credit for the work of others. He was dissuaded from doing that when security experts told him is wasn’t a good idea to dare unsavory actors to take a crack at our system.

B-I-N-G-f*cking-G-O! Trump’s lawyers will want to argue at trial that Il Douche honestly believed that the election was stolen from him, and so there could be no criminal intent. And now Smith can parade out a succession of election security experts who can swear and testify that all the way back in February of 2020, Trump now only knew that the electoral system was secure, he wanted to take credit for it! As Mr. Rogers used to say, Can you say criminal intent boys and girls?

Look. If I know this, and MSNBC knows this, the the Trump defense sure as sh*t know it too. But here’s the neat thing. In knowing this, the Trump defense team no longer dares to put up the honest delusion defense, lest Smith steamroll them like an asphalt roller. It will be interesting to see what they try to come up with next. Such are the joys of a client who just won’t STFU! Don’t touch that dial.

  1. The evidence of criminal intent in line with the crimes committed by the Mango Moron is becoming overwhelming. Hook. Line. Sinker. Tick. Tick. Tick.

  2. How about this for a defense: “Your honor, the story I was making up was so realistic, I really believed it. And so did millions of other people.”

Judge: Well then, maybe you should be nominated for the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction rather than for President of the United States.

  3. I think you’ve hit it square on the head. trump is flooding his platform with rants on the “stollen” election, using words like “in my mind.” When this gets to trial we are going to be gas-lighted with his post-election mental state and how he really, Really, REALLY believed he was doing the right thing. trump may dumb as a rock, but he does seem to realize that mental incapacity may be his only defense. It’s one step short of an insanity plea that would put him in a mental institution, but (he hopes) two steps ahead of criminal intent that would land him in prison. Smith is going to pin him down like a bug on a mounting card and send him to the place he fears most.

  4. Certainly, Smith and company, SHOULD NOT let his insane mega-mouth out on the street …

His duty to promote himself constantly, ingrained in his sick mind of an ABSOLUTE Narcissistic FREAK, willing to ignore the general health of our, now passed away, million citizens, that he let fester for two months before doing anything at all about the Pandemic … HE NEW how bad it was … His discussions with associated personnel and a famous reporter has revealed his non-caring useless actions and re-actions, starting with his total destruction of everything OBAMA had built up for the next Pandemic at the CDC … This so-called man IS a simple murderer at best, he cannot live as long as he should stay in PRISON …

  5. Is he stupid enough to believe 2020 was stolen in the country which is the gold standard in administrating/holding elections (we send Americans to other countries to observe elections f.f.s.)? Well, yeah, he is. Big but here-he did know this was a scam and decided to profit from it. I don’t know how these attorneys are going to parse this in a courtroom but there is too much evidence against former guy to convince a jury he’s that stupid.

You know, if he had the sense given to a rather dumb goose, he’d have attempted to cut a plea deal long ago-way before any of these indictments piling up actually got to the indictment stage. Does anyone honestly think DOJ wouldn’t rather do a fine and time served deal instead of all this? It’s pretty silly to think so. For an admission of guilt? Real silly.
