This is starting to get ridiculous, even for Traitor Tot. You know, back in the long ago old days, they used to have a form of torture/execution called Pressing. The convict, usually a murderer or a witch was strapped to a table. Then a board that stretched from neck to waist was laid over the condemned. Then different sized stones were placed on the board, one at a time, until they literally pressed the air out of the victim. Sadly that form of murder is still in use today. Scumbag cop Derek Chauvin accomplished it with 10 minutes and a knee.
But in a political rhetorical sense, that’s what’s happening to Trump today. The drip-drip-drip of not only former inner circle members and White House staffers coming out publicly against Trump in 2024, but an ever growing number of traditional GOP conservatives with no prior connection to Traitor Tot are coming out for Kamala Harris too.
And today a dump truck dropped rocks on Trump’s board. More than 100 GOP conservatives all came out in favor of Kamala Harris at once. And that doesn’t even count the scores that have already come out either individually or in small clusters.
Here’s why this is important. As I’ve previously stated, as far as I’m concerned, everybody who is going to vote for Trump already is voting for Trump. For that ever shrinking bloc of undecided voters, the only question is whether to vote for Harris, vote for Jill Stein, or stay at home and say Screw the whole thing.
Now we’re not talking about MAGAt’s here. These lollygagging fence sitters are for the most part generational GOP voters, going back for generations. One of the popular boasts from hardcore conservatives is that We’ve been voting Republican since Lincoln. For them, not voting for a GOP candidate is a form of family betrayal.
Which is where one of my favorite recent topics comes in. Abandonment Permission Structure. These undecideds, as well as some querulous current Trump voters who are extremely reluctant about their vote are persuadable. But neither Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, nor the Democrats can do it, they’re the enemy, right?
What they need for persuasion is permission from people they know, people whose names they’ve heard for years or even decades, people they trust. And for voters that have been voting GOP for their entire lives, who do you trust more than;
- George E Bush
- Mitt Romney
- former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales
- Liz Cheney
- Dick Cheney
- John Bolton
- Former Attorney General Bill Barr
- Former VP Mike Pence’s National Security expert Olivia Troye
- The military son of former US Senator and war hero John McCain, who not only endorsed Kamala harris, he actually changed his party affiliation to Democratic
- High ranking Generals that served under Traitor tot warning against the national security dangers of another Trump term
Gee. Think that any of those fence sitting voters ever actually voted for any of the names on that list, or donated to their campaigns? How many of them do they have to hear say, Come on over, the water’s fine. We saved a spot at the table for you.
El Pendejo ex Presidente notwithstanding, sane members of the RNC as well as senior GOP thinkers and operatives know if it works, it’s a literal death knell for the current iteration of the GOP. Because if these voters bolt, especially a significant number of them, the GOP is toast. Even if Traitor Tot loses in November, they ain’t coming back, at least not in the short term. The entire MAGA cancer would have to be excised, and the party fumigated and sterilized before they’ll give it another look.
Now you know why I explained the old time torture/execution practice of pressing at the top. If Liz and Dick Cheney were the only stones on his board, it might not even make him short of breath. But when you drop a dump truck load of stones on the board like we’re seeing today, hell, the biggest problem may be finding space to put more stones. I’m sure they’ll figure something out.

Oh come on. McCain was a true patriot to his very core. Remember when he told that woman that Barak Obama was not at all what she accused him of being, but a true American patriot? Not only would McCain have come out FOR kamala, I believe he would have been out campaigning FOR her!
I agree. He was literally in hell in the vietcong prison camp, an unimaginable existence. When they discovered his father was an important admiral, they offered to release him. He refused. He honored the code that those captured before him deserved to go first. That’s an act of courage, will, and honor that’s also hard to imagine in our culture of ME FIRST! I disagreed with him on most things but, as a veteran and a citizen, I’ll defend him anytime people criticize him. He was, and will always remain a HERO!!!! If the voters had an ounce of his patriotism, the magas would be in jail along with the traitorous nazi that leads them. No one who honors our democracy has the right to criticize him.
