I wrote recently that it was only two months ago that a reputable national poll had Traitor Tot up 43-36% over Biden. Last week the tables had turned to 42-39%v for Biden. Since Biden hadn’t been doing anything different, and no new cataclysmic news for Biden had come out, it must be Trump’s legal problems driving the change.
And it’s starting to appear that I might be right. In a new Quinnipiac poll released yesterday, and taken before the Trump jury selection started, 30% of registered voters said that a Trump criminal conviction would disqualify him from the White House.
Thins about this for a minute. Unlike any previous American President, Traitor Tot isn’t trying to grow his base, and never has. He has imposed a purity test for his followers, and is rejecting everybody else, voters and donors alike.
Trump’s rock solid base is vetween 32-35%. That isn’t enough to win. He needs to peel off soft Democratic, GOP, and independent voters to give him another chance. But Trump’s message is toxic, geared almost exclusively to his base to show up in November. Trump is specifically trying to shore up his sagging Evangelical support by hawking bibles, and swearing that November will be the Evangelical revolution at the polls.
But now, within six months of the general election, those soft Democratic, GOP, and independent voters are starting to tune in. And they’re taking the thought of a criminally convicted President quite a bit more seriously than His Lowness wants them to.
And by the results of the poll, they already have strong opinions. A criminal President is unacceptable. And these are the kind of voters who are highly unlikely to be getting their news from far right toxic sewers like FUX News and NewsMax. Thjey’re more likely to be watching the MSM, which is going to be more than happy to provide them with blow-to-blow coverage. And they’ll believe it.
And to close, here’s something else to think about. Yesterday, when Trump was in court, the campaign sent out a hysterical e0mail and text blast, Right now, as we speak, President Trump is in court, defending our precious awy of life! We need 1 million brave American patriots to chip in before court closes today to show President Trump our undying support. Which means that they wanted a million simoleons in like six hours. The Trump campaign has been truly arrogant in announcing flash fundraising foals achieved. We’re more than 24 hours later, and the Trump campaign is as silent as the tomb. Another problem for Il Douche?
From the polling, this Manhattan criminal trial may well be make-or-break for Trump. And already, in the first two days, the mainstream media has him falling asleep in court, and getting slapped down by the judge for for being churlish. This won’t sway Trump voters, but it may well be enough to have his antics swaying those soft voters even before a final verdict is reached. Don’t touch that dial.

I don’t disagree with the fact that it is unlikely, barring state legislatures in red states taking the voters’ will and flushing it, trump will be elected. He proved himself very unequal to the task of being president when he was given four years. What I do have issue with are the polls. I have a real problem accepting anything the polling companies put out because they are so often wrong. It was the polls that saw these big red waves crashing down upon us the past couple of election cycles.
