How many times have you heard me say it? You never get a second chance to make a first impression. But here’s what you do do. After you make a total cock up of your initial impression, when you venture out from under the bed the next time, you bend over backwards to make it clear to all and sundry that you’re not that big of an asshole.
But not the GOP. And not the Howdy Doody Speaker Kevin McCarthy. After spending the entire first week of their newfound power stumbling and fumbling around like Keystone Kops on a procedure that most parties take care of in the first three hours of s session, you’d think they’d want to make amends.
Not these ass clowns. Not now, Not ever. Their first order of business was to pass two bills that have the same chance of clearing the Senate as I do of winning a Pulitzer prize. The first one was to protect far right Evangelical abortion crisis clinics. These re sham operations not licensed to provide medical care or advise, whose sole purpose is to bamboozle or pressure vulnerable women from seeking and obtaining abortions. Basically it’s legalizing a con.
The second one is even worse. They are trying to regulate medical procedures when dealing with a partially born fetus who survives a late term abortion. Which doesn’t exist. Abortions occurring more than 21 weeks from conception are only performed for two reasons. Either the actual health and life of the mother is in jeopardy, or the fetus will not be viable outside of the womb if the pregnancy is carries to term. And in neither case is a breathing, screaming infant plucked from the womb, and then polished off by the doctor. It’s a desperate solution for a problem that doesn’t exist.
Just a little historical background here. Even the lowest of the low, El Pendejo Presidente admitted that the GOP their asses kicked in the midterms because of how badly they bungled the abortion issue. Anti abortion GOP candidates in every swing state got their heads handed to them. Even deep red states like Montana and Kentucky voted to enshrine abortion rights.
A couple of weeks ago, the GOP dominated South Carolina Supreme Court ruled that abortion rights were enshrined in the state constitution. And in a special election for a GOP VA state Senate seat, the Democrat won by 1 point by promising to protect abortion rights. And the first two bills that these mental crustaceans bring up are abortion restrictions, as a warm up for a 15 week abortion ban nationwide.
To quote singer Peter Gabriel, The amusement never ends. As I’ve written, the American voters have made it crystal clear that they want an end to obstructionist bullshit, and a return to bipartisanship and compromise. And Kreepy Kevin’s response? He’s fundraising off of keeping his promise to retaliate strip Democrats Adam Schiff and Eric swalwell from their prize committee seats in retaliation for Pelosi stripping Laborious MTG and Gruppenfuhrer Gosar from theirs. Ahhh, the sweet smell of bipartisanship.
And it’s only going to get worse. The GOP House is already ramping up for an endless parade of useless sham investigations under the guise of oversight. And McCarthy and the Freedom Caucus really will go to the mattresses on destroying the global economy unless they gut Social Security and Medicare, which would turn their largest senior citizen base into paupers. In God’s name, why? Why buck the majority of American voters for a theatrical performance?
Here’s why. The GOP is fucked. And at least the GOP House knows it. And for the troglodytes of the House GOP, that’s liberating. Because it means that They. Don’t. Have. To. Care. They don’t have to give a shit about whether or not the GOP wins the White House in 2024. They don’t have to give a shit about whether of not McConnell gets the Senate Majority Leader spot back in 2024. They don’t have to give a shit about anything.
Because todays House GOP is made up largely of a merry band of freebooters who aren’t interested in governance or legislating. What they’re interested in is increasing their FUX News fame, stuffing their pockets, and getting reelected. And as long as they continue to give the kind of show that wows their mouth breathing constituents, they’re as safe as houses in their gerrymandered districts. Nothing else matters, since they already know that the GOP can’t govern, and statewide offices like the Senate will continue to slip through their fingers. It’s every man for himself.
If you think it’s bad now, just wait. Because it’s only going to get worse. These charlatans are beholden to no one but themselves, and the rest of us are just along for the ride. Welcome to Trumptopia.

I will be living in my car if they succeed. Social.Security is half our income. We literally cannot survive without it. At 73,I would be forced to apply for a library job I am overqualified for and which would have doing things my back and ankles cannot handle.
It’s 3/4 of my income & I still pay a mortgage & all bills on my little house, without that income I am going to have to decide to get off the planet asap !

When you create political prisoners out of the poor and black burdening them with a criminal record while the real criminals walk, it erodes what the law should be doing, promoting and protecting the common good. It also erodes respect for the law and the truth since lies are now law. Millions of innocent people are driven out of the economic system and the guilty are given power and pardons. It continues a half century later with a population that knows no history, science, scholarship, civics, etc. Our culture has allowed HYPOCRISY codified into law to stand. Now we can’t admit or teach the truth about our history of genocide, slavery, political oppression or anything else BASED ON THE TRUTH. Sounds like a culture, built on laws that are lies, that was ripe for a cult leader, which we gloriously gave the highest office in the land. We now have anarchists in power that have OPENLY supported the overthrow of our government from a plot over TWO YEARS AGO and the people REALLY responsible are free and some sworn, (what a joke and why bother), into office to create more laws based on lies. Seems like their plan is quite successful. Given the planet is teetering on the brink of a tipping point with climate warming, years of chaos are years we can’t afford. Don’t worry, there’s a memo somewhere that says a sitting president can’t be indicted for the clear crimes outlined in the Mueller report. Probably written by Nixon. Welll you are right. The right in the House will be insufferable. They got something with Joe and classified documents. But they also have a problem that won’t go away, it seems. George Santos. Numbnuts was leader of the party. He should have walked Santos to the nearest door and stuck his foot up his ass. But that would have been kicking a vote out the door with what. A five seat majority.
