This just keeps getting better and better. The last three days Dumb and Dumber have taken their turns in the tumblers of justice, and it hasn’t gone well.

The prosecution basically reduced Diaper Donnie Redux to testifying that he’s a brainless, totally untrained twit, whose signature on damning documents were all the fault of professional accountants and lawyers that he paid millions of dollars a year to, who somehow forgot to explain to him what he was signing. I was immediately reminded of Mel Brooks as Governor William J LePetomaine in Blazing Saddles, sitting at his desk constantly signing papers Harvey Korman hands him while complaining, Work, work, work, that’s all I do around here, then turning to look at his secretary’s cleavage and exclaim, Hello boys! Daddy missed you!

Cigar store Indian Eric fared even worse. He claimed ignorance of all things paperwork, proudly proclaiming that he’s more of a pouring concrete kind of guy. Leading Michael Cohen to retort, Eric Trump couldn’t make Quik Sakrete in a bucket with water if somebody stirred it for him. But Eric hurt his own cause badly when he was forced to admit that the Trump Organization made a business decision on delaying paying out a $2 million settlement to former Trump CFO Allan Weisselberg until he signed a non disclosure agreement prohibiting him from speaking to any adverse interests, read prosecutors.

Then the Trump attorneys decided that the witnesses shouldn’t get to have all the fun. Trump has been having a running gun battle with the judge over his constant heckling of the judge’s law clerk, leading to threats. It’s already cost Traitor Tot $15,000. The lawyers have taken to bitching about the law clerk passing notes back and forth with the judge during court, causing the judge to slap a new gag order against the lawyers to keep their yaps shut both in and out of court about his staff.

And that was just the warm up act. On Monday we get Boss Hog himself, followed on Wednesday by South Beach Barbie. Trump will be a freak show in a class by itself, but it’s Ivanka who can be the critical witness, since she’s already distanced herself from her father, and has no real umbilical cord to his alleged fortune, her and Jared both being well off.

But here’s the thing that nobody seems to understand, or at least be paying attention to. You know what last week and this week are in court? Kabuki theater. They’re nothing more or less than a dress rehearsal for future court cases, both civil as well as criminal. What’s going on has nothing to do with the guilt or innocence of His Lowness, his monkey spawn, or the Trump Organization.

That gig is up. The ball game is over. The party plates have been cleared up, the ashtrays emptied, the fireplace is banked, and the cat has been let out. Trump is standing with an empty glass in his hand.

The judge has already decided a summary judgement against Trump and his co-defendants, determining without deliberations that the entire mom and pop bodega was nothing more than a shell for a multi decade fraud operation. It’s already over! Trump and his idiot progeny are guilty. Where we are right now is the penalty phase of the trial, determine how guilty everybody at the defense table is, and how much it’s going to cost them.

And that’s potentially fatal to them. As part of his summary judgement, the judge stripped the family of their licenses to operate a business in New York state, and put the company into receivership, to run the operation, kind of like having a legal guardian assigned by a court, with an eye towards selling the assets off to pay back creditors and fines.

This whole thing is nothing more than a publicity stunt for the 2024 base, so El Pendejo Presidente can play the victimhood card to the base. A corrupt Attorney General and a Trump hating judge trying to cripple his company to derail his 2024 campaign. Something about this trial has nagged at me for weeks. Simply because I long ago learned that The Mangy Messiah does nothing without an angle. He never showed up for a single day of the E Jean Carroll trial, not even the verdict, because you can’t fundraise about being a serial sexual predator. But you sure as sh*t can fundraise the hell out of being the ultimate victim. Here endeth the lesson.

I thank you for the privilege of your time.

  1. Yes, you’re right about those two very important items. MSM has been drooling idiots since this second phase started. Thanks for the Basic Reminder 101.

  2. DON THE CON T. RUMP never showed up for a single day of the E Jean Carroll trial, not even the verdict, because you can’t fund raise about being a serial sexual predator. You are sure correct about that.

DON THE CON also can’t win an election by being a RAPIST…. at least I hope even his brain-dead supporters wouldn’t consider that a positive trait.

Which is why I will be voting for…..

    • Given that part, maybe a large part, of former guy’s base think women should be treated worse than those in Atwood’s “Handmaid’s Tale” women, I’m not so sure they care he’s a rapist, sexual predator, or any other kind of criminal. In fact, for the incel portion of his base at least, those are positives, selling points.

  3. I can’t wait till Monday
    my take, 5th
my difference with Ursala is the timing
    of her testimony.
    in retrospect, its perfect,
Daddy even tries to do her dirty
she testifies last, in my opinion
it may be moot, her father is first
    and that will be epic.

    • He won’t take the 5th, the judge will hammer him with it in deliverations…And Ivanka is perfect where she is…You close with your star, and Ivanka can hammer Daddums without him being able to take the stand after and rebut her…

      • No, but like the rest of the family, he will have a sudden attack of infectious amnesia and won’t be able to recall anything beyond his name and address (and that the courts, with the exception of the loose cannon, and prosecuting attornies are all out on a witch hunt and want to persecute him

  4. If this trial is about damages, I’m surprised trump’s lawyers haven’t called expert witnesses who can testify that the loans the business got were all serviced and eventually paid off. The absence of Deutchesbank executives in the courtroom suggests some of those loans weren’t so gracefully retired, despite trump’s claims they were. Could it be there is a huge can of worms there, involving billions in laundered Russian cash, which the banks would rather not be opened?

    • Exactly. The Deutchesbank connection is what the Trumps and the bank don’t want to touch. That bank has already been fined for money laundering by Germany and people should wonder why does Trump go to them for loans.
Where did the cash come from to buy the golf courses in Scotland ? Maybe a wealth order is instore.

    • Patience, Grasshopper…This is still the prosecutions turn, once they’re finished, THEN the defense will call its witnesses…

  5. Yes, they have already been found guilty in this civil fraud case. The purpose of the testimony this week and next is to determine the amount of money that needs to be disgorged, but also to see whether criminal charges should also be brought next. I think it’s likely they will be.
