Read this and weep because this has gone public but for every one of these anecdotes which goes public, how many are there that are much much worse and that we never hear about? Trump basically embodies that old expression, it’s not what you know, it’s who you know.
Trump promised a golden age, he just didn’t mention that it would only be for his family and a small circle of people with influence and advance access to announcements. https://t.co/TmsBuXO19m

That says it all. It is like the fall of Rome, with the raping, looting and pillaging. Trump and his cronies are busy looting and pillaging daily and as for the raping, well, go ask Katie Johnson or any of the other gals involved in the Epstein days. They can give you all those details.
Trump has long since made Richard Nixon look like a choir boy. Now he’s on his way to making the Gilded Age people look like they were veritable saints, gouging 16-hour days out of workers and locking factory doors, so that people burned to death when a fire broke out.
And expect a Teapot Dome-level scandal at some point. Trump is the new William Howard Taft. For one thing, he’s as big as Taft was. Taft weighed 350 pounds and didn’t lie about it. I’m not suggesting a correlation between overweight and corruption, just stating the obvious similarities.
And did I mention Taft was a Republican, like Nixon and like Trump? Ain’t it odd that they’re all Republicans? We’re talking quite a few years back. Taft backed big business over conservation, naturally, and 53 years ago we had Watergate. It’s always a Republican.

for those people who cannot read between the lies I mean lines, I have another bridge I can sell ya
“And expect a Teapot Dome-level scandal at some point. Trump is the new Warren G. Harding. For one thing, he’s as big as Harding was. Harding weighed 350 pounds and didn’t lie about it. I’m not suggesting a correlation between overweight and corruption, just stating the obvious similarities. Harding died of a heart attack midway through his term in 1923, just by the by.”
For starters, the Teapot Dome scandal didn’t become known until after Harding’s death (hearings wouldn’t even begin until two months after his death and there was no firm consensus–then or now–that Harding was even aware of any of the illegal activities). Secondly, I think you’re mistaking Harding for William Taft; HE was the one who famously weighed 350 and didn’t lie about it. And, if you look at actual photographs of the man, if he did weigh 350, then he must’ve stood over 7 feet tall because he looks VERY fit (especially for a 55-year old man, living in 1920). Most sources indicate he weighed over 200 pounds (while a weight chart at POTUS.com lists his weight at 173 pounds).
As for the heart attack, he’d been suffering from heart problems for a week or so prior to his death but it may have been aggravated by a slight case of pneumonia.
You’re right. Taft was the porker. Taft was also corrupt, involved in the “Ballinger-Pinchot affair,” one of the early hassles involving conservation vs. big busines. and naturally he sided with big business over the environment. What else is new? I’ll delete the paragraphs.
And, on the “they’re all Republicans” bit, so were Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt and Dwight Eisenhower.
Don’t forget that Andrew Jackson, Franklin Pierce, James Buchanan, Andrew Johnson and Woodrow Wilson were all Democrats. Jackson, if I have to remind folks, was virulently racist with regards to America’s First Nations. Johnson opposed the passage of the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments (his impeachment was a politically motivated one by a group that would’ve likely attempted to impeach Lincoln; Johnson was trying to follow Lincoln’s plans for “healing” the nation although his being a Tennesseean was viewed as “suspect” and “sympathetic to the Confederates” which didn’t help him). Pierce and Buchanan, though both from Northern states, weren’t exactly abolitionists. Pierce, in particular, believed the abolitionist movement to be a “fundamental threat” to national unity and he signed the Kansas-Nebraska Act and enforced the Fugitive Slave Act (which was referenced in the earlier story about ICE arresting a California-born man) while Buchanan supported “states’ rights” especially regarding slavery and he DIRECTLY intervened in the Dred Scott case by talking with one of the Justices (and this was before he was even inaugurated!) about the Court’s leanings, then he wrote to another Justice urging him to rule against Scott and the decision (which would deny ANY African-American of civil rights as American citizens, even if they had civil rights at the state level and had NEVER been enslaved) was issued just two days after Buchanan’s inauguration. And Wilson? He was blatantly and unabashedly racist. He allowed Cabinet secretaries to segregate their offices and some agencies used this to stop hiring any Blacks due to “lack of facilities.” Those who were already employed were offered “buyouts” to leave or simply fired (hmm, sounds a bit DOGE-ish, no?). And, of course, Wilson held a screening of “Birth of a Nation” in the White House and became a leading proponent of the “Lost Cause” bull crap.
Elect a president who has run a criminal operation in private business his entire life and what do you get? A mob boss running a mafia-style organized crime syndicate from the Oval Office. Is it any surprise he’s set up a global shake-down scam with his tariffs? If he doesn’t get bribes under the table, he can game the markets. And the SCOTUS right-wing just sits back in their cushy leather ottomans and smile. If it wasn’t for their impeccable stature, one could almost imagine they were getting a cut.
