Not that he’ll ever admit it but the whole ‘TACO’ (Trump Always Chickens Out) thing really got to Trump. Of course, being a legend in (only) his mind he’s smarter and wittier than anyone else and a master of marketing. He also will steal anything, including a commonly used promotion we’ve seen countless times. Perhaps Trumpty knew yesterday was going to be a bad day (worse than his wildest fears as it turned out) so he decided to get proactive and create (again) a ‘Trump Taco Tuesday.’ Being Trump he botched it in more ways than one.
As this article from Meidas Touch News tells us Trumpty decided to drum up some accolades for his cruel deportation policy via a post with a couple of dumbass questions aimed at ‘Mexicans’ who he claims to love. As long as they aren’t ‘illegals.’ Well, given the policy of having masked ICE agents running around beating up then dragging away people who are brown, even if they’ve got documentation on them, they’re U.S. citizens or at least here legally his praise for what he calls hard working Mexicans is a tad suspect. He got a surprising amount of Hispanic support a year ago but yesterday marked a clear shift away from him and the GOP.
In any case Trump made his post. It was of course a FUND RAISING post couched as support (sure Donald…) for Mexicans. Call me crazy but as in at least one past similar post of him playing dress up with a bigly sombrero atop his head (whether a MAGA ballcap or something like this it’s still an ASShat!) and holding a taco in a fundraising email might not play all that well with brown people. Even if the subject line is “It’s Taco Tuesday!”
Ah, but this is Donny Dumbass Trump and just being racist was only part of it. If you look at the banner behind him Taco is spelled (or rather MIS-spelled ‘TCOS”. No doubt it was supposed to say T A C O S but who thinks Trump gave a crap when he walked in and saw it? Maybe he actually can’t spell it correctly? That’s possible, especially in his clearly devolved state these days. More likely he glanced at it and thought something along the lines of ‘Mexicans’ are so stupid they won’t notice, or can’t even spell taco.’ I can easily believe THAT and bet you can too.
We’re in the midst of a serious, profound even couple of days so some dumbassery that gives us a chance to mock the would-be Emperor who (thankfully) does have clothes on is a bit of welcome relief I offer this afternoon.
