We’ve all heard the aphorism that insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Here’s what we’re doing over and over: MAGA is a pernicious force in this country. Donald Trump’s cult is like a flock of bats that have flown out of Hell since the rock covering the opening to their cave was moved away. MAGA is more than a basket of deplorables, that was an understatement. It seemed outrageous to many at the time but it was a most tempered comment, given the reality of the situation. But what we do over and over again is accept and normalize the most anti-American sect to ever form on these shores, and that includes the Ku Klux Klan
Then there is the guns issue. Every single time a shooting occurs, there is 1. shock; 2. outrage; 3. remorse; 4. thoughts and prayers; 5. rinse and repeat. Here’s today’s contribution to Insanity in America.

I feel fairly certain in concluding that MAGA is involved in this, although we have no hard data on that at this time. New York Times:
A rally to celebrate the Kansas City football team’s Super Bowl victory was marred when several people were shot near the city’s Union Station on Wednesday afternoon, the police said.
Two armed people were detained, the Kansas City Police Department said in a statement. It was not immediately clear how many people were injured, but the police described “multiple victims.”
Here’s what else we know:
The parade began around 11 a.m. and ended with a rally in front of Union Station, an Amtrak hub and tourist spot in downtown Kansas City, Mo.
Five people were taken to University Health Truman Medical Center, according to Keith King, a spokesman for the hospital. Three of them were being treated for gunshot wounds, and two were being treated for other injuries, Mr. King said.
Live video of the celebration showed a chaotic scene outside, as a sea of hundreds of fans in red jerseys fled from the rally.
Laura Kelly, the governor of Kansas, was at the rally and had to be evacuated from the area. She is now “out of harm’s way,” she said in a post on social media.
The Times went on to say that it was getting all of its information from law enforcement and that it was “working aggressively to verify it through interviews with witnesses and victims, and will report any discrepancies between what officials are saying and what we have found. And let me be crystal clear. I’m not saying this was done by MAGA, I’m betting it was done by MAGA. And had the 49ers won, we might be seeing the same thing. Donald Trump, Fox News and MAGA have it in for Taylor Swift. But on the other hand, they were characterizing the Super Bowl as Team Taylor or Team Nancy. So I guess MAGA feels left out.
In any event, Trump and Fox News have gone out of their way to demonize Taylor Swift and I can only assume that this is related. If I’m completely wrong, and the two people in custody turn out to be a pair of Catholic nuns who hate football because it takes people away from church on Sundays, then certainly we will share that here.
Meanwhile, the ERs are busy, bystanders are traumatized, and lives are ruined by irresponsible people having firearms. This is not what the founding fathers intended.

Which doesn’t occur anywhere else on the planet – even in war zones.

I’m convinced we’ll keep having thought and prayers until they’re being held for republican lawmakers. I’m not advocating shooting them, but I am saying all the bloodshed has not moved them one inch. They are willing to murder and destroy children at the border. They are willing to support putin the war criminal as he bombs hospitals. There is no bottom to their evil because it doesn’t affect them directly. If it did I imagine they’d have second thoughts about all the blood money they pocket as accomplices to all these shootings.

Twitter won’t let me in right now or I’d shoot you a Dm, but before it went down I saw that two black teenagers were arrested for the shooting and many were e saying it was a local beef. I suppose it is possible that MAGA types paid them to do it but I wouldn’t speculate that just now.
Who put 400 million guns on the street? Not black teenagers. Who locks up 700k people a year since 1972 for cannabis, seven out of ten being minorities, locking people out of jobs, creating millions of black families without fathers? Not black teenagers. Who runs the private prison system, the courts, and the law, which clearly operates with a double standard for poor black people versus rich white people? Not black teenagers. Sure they pulled the triggers but the system put them there with a gun in their hands. The Maga crowd along with pissant Trump have fueled the fires of hatred and violence which clearly have moved our culture in that direction. Didn’t see many black teenagers in their rallies. It’s not much of a stretch to see the connections.
I weep for my hometown and it does appear to be assholes fighting one another because it happened at the end of festivities not when millions of targets were available!! Either way, the gun culture killed one or more innocents today!!
