It’s an interesting culture we live in. In this culture a rape victim can and does end up being blamed and thereby doubly victimized. I have seen this with my own eyes. I have also known women who don’t report the crime because they don’t want to be treated like the criminal. Also in this culture, a man who has witnessed the rise of one of the most disturbing and perverse figures in American politics, Sarah Palin, and who has vowed to stop her, was asked recently if he worried about appearing “unhinged.” Somehow Steve Schmidt is being cast as the wrongdoer, for telling the truth about Palin and vowing to take her on.
Here is his response. It’s time to take off the gloves. We’re not playing by Marquess de Queensbury rules. If we lose a democracy, maybe it’s because we insisted on bringing a spoon to a knife fight, rather than bringing a machete.

Michelle Obama famously said, “When they go low, we go high.” I agree with that in principle, but we are not in that world anymore. Prior to MAGA that might have indeed been the way to go. The world was more civilized in the Obama era, quite plainly. It is a different place today. Tragic but true.
We need to fight back in order not to lose our country. Who cares about being called unhinged? Save America first, worry about naysayers and their useless opinions later. This is a fight to save democracy, not a garden party.
We’ve all been screaming this for how many years?!! It’s all coming out now how unhinged 45 was and continues to be. His Magats are just as bad. We wanted to fight his idiocy during his tenure. People kept letting it happen – it wasn’t the Dems. They impeached him twice. It was motherfucker McConnell, et al that don’t give a flying fuck about the country – just about their own power.
