It’s good to have this on tape. Maybe we can play it back to J.D. from time to time. J.D. Vance, who has been described by Rick Wilson as the Dan Quayle of Sarah Palins, made a real boo boo last night and today. He posted a clip of a Miss Teen USA pageant contestant who badly botched a question about education. Then he doubled down on it by reposting it again today, with full audio of exactly what the young woman said that made this a cultural meme on the internet. Yes, she made an ass out of herself. And if she was only 19 years old or under at the time and not used to public speaking, much less extemporaneously and under pressure, she can perhaps be cut a little slack.
But not by Vance. Vance is hell bent on proving that Kamala Harris is of subnormal intelligence, a proposition that is patently ridiculous but then again, folks, this is coming to you from the party that is representing Donald Trump as presidential material. And Trump represents that windmills do everything from cause cancer to kill birds and create mental illness in whales. So anything goes with this crowd.
But this is a little below the belt even for Vance. Turns out that the young gal who publicly humiliated herself contemplated suicide after her faux pas. And will Vance apologize to her? What do you think?

I love the fact that everything offensive in the Trump campaign is considered a “joke.” Maybe somebody should explain humor to these humorless bastards. Cruel humor and denigration is only funny to a few twisted souls. Most people have some standards of decency. Vance and/or Team Trump, went out of their way to find a clip of a woman looking stupid so they could say, “See? That’s how stupid Kamala Harris is.”
Harris is not nor has she ever been a tongue-tied teen beauty pageant contestant. I can’t believe that somebody who has been the attorney general of California would be thought a stupid person, but again, these are the same people who would have you believe that Trump is a brilliant businessman and self-made billionaire, when he is none of those things. So fantasy and hyperbole rule the day.
It boggles my mind that people could be so stupid as to think that a rank idiot could get through law school, pass the bar, and then climb the ladder of success as Kamala Harris has done. It ain’t so. But I get the ploy. When you’ve got a rank idiot like Trump running, yes, you have to drag down his opponent to his level and this is the way they’re doing it.
There is something fundamentally wrong with people who won’t apologize. I have known a few people like that and never understood them. Apologies may not eradicate the harm done but at least they display regret that harm was done and that’s a beginning to being a better human being.
But it’s the MAGA creed, “Sorry is for suckers.” Which is another way of saying that boorishness and lack of empathy are indicators of superiority. And again, look at who is selling what as their standard bearer and all this perversity starts to make complete sense.
Every time the slime ticket (both of them) say something disgusting, they come back and say they were making a joke. Too bad they don’t get that they’re the joke but it’s not a funny joke.

Let’s take a look at a possible merger between kroger and albertson’s: yeah, that’s going to lower food prices. You betcha’. The cat is out of the bag and CEO’s are on record stating consumers have been paying higher prices when supply was low and they will continue to do so now that supply chains are fine.
