Proving Rick Wilson’s adage that “Everything Trump Touches Dies” the Republican National Committee is reporting that 2003 is its worst fundraising year in 30 years… and unsympathetic Twitters couldn’t wait to respond.
It must really bite to be Ronna McDaniels these days:
“The Republican National Committee’s finances and fundraising efforts are in a “horrifying” state, according to a Republican National Committeeman. Several Democratic National Committee officials and at least one analyst all also point to data that says the RNC just had the worst fundraising year in three decades.
“This is horrifying,” declared Tyler Bowyer, an RNC National Committeeman and official at Charlie Kirk’s right wing Turning Point USA. “Worst fundraising year for RNC in 30 years. They’re asking for a $10 million bailout. Anyone defending this is insane.”…
… NCRM has not confirmed these figures, but Democratic National Committee Communications Director Rosemary Boeglin says the GOP “is struggling when they can least afford it (literally): -Worst fundraising year since ’93 -Lowest cash on hand headed into a presidential in decades -Worst month for contributions in a decade.”
It’s hard to believe that a political party that is in the process of nominating as its standard bearer a bloated circus clown with 90+ felony indictments, who is scaring off large donors and siphoning off all of the available cash from small donors for his legal defense and to spiff up his private jet, is having trouble raising cash but there it is…
When the word hit Twitter, folks lined up to express their sincerest not-sympathies:

Yup.
I didn’t look closely but assuming it’s because it went straight to trump’s pockets and skipped the middle man?
Oh, and because the majority of the country thinks the QOP is the worst.

💯 💯 💯
Makes perfect sense. Why donate to a cult that wastes your time and money with a person like Trump.

This is about the best news I’ve heard since Biden won.
Poor Ronna won’t even be able to get a new gig with Fox News.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Looks like the RNC’s finances are in the toilet. Specifically Trump’s fake gold one.
I guess a lot of folks don’t want to donate to the party of trump. When the ‘pubes decided to continue to kiss his ass, even after all the felonies the f*ck-wad committed, they made it clear they are no longer republicans but magats. Well, a WHOLE LOT of people loath dingleberry, the magats and by association the ‘pubes. Hopefully this results in the death-knell of the party. All they have done in the past 40+ years is evil so they won’t be missed. When they are gone, the magats will likely follow or at least STFU which is just about as good.
how much of that 93.5 mil spent was on trumps legal fees which they were paying for at least part of last year? I read somewhere that he has spent 40 mil on lawyers the past two years. it didn’t specify whether that included rnc contributions or was from his campaign and passed. I’m sure it didn’t come out of his own pocket though he probably sees it that way. now his campaign is looking for big dollar donors. that would be actual rich people many of whom aren’t totally stupid and know that money would go to the legal fees and penalties so that probably ain’t gonna happen.
