I love the tongue in cheek trolls of the Lincoln Project. This one is a personalized, one on one message from Rick Wilson to Donald Trump. I don’t know if Trump will see it, but he really needs to, because there is so much truth contained herein. What is going to happen next week in the Senate is pure political theater. Mitch McConnell knows it, Rand Paul knows it, Josh Hawley knows it, Mike Pence — we could literally put up the entire roster of every sitting Republican lawmaker. They.All.Know.It.
So that makes it even more comical that Donald Trump doesn’t know it. What doesn’t he know? How he’s gone, it’s over, and his so called allies are just using his demise as a chance to feather their own nests and gain the limelight — and line their pockets, needless to say. They don’t give a damn about him. They’re using him. But here, let Rick Wilson tell it. He’s so eloquent and I love how snide he is.

Keep a narcissist surrounded for years by people who tell him he’s the chosen one, have him watch defeat after defeat and suggest that he’ll face prison and whatnot – He’ll grasp at anything even a public call to all MAGA to occupy the WH lawn armed with their patriotic AR-15’s so they can keep the “SS” – as he has called them, in check and keep him in the WH until the erroneous election of 2020 has been “corrected”

This is definitely Mr. Wilson’s victory lap. He’s earned the right to gloat a little. Just the same, I’m also hearing Peter O’Toole in The Lion In Winter screaming, “You’re not mine! I deny you! None of you will get my kingdom and I wish you plague…!” Call this a little ungracious but I still wonder if he has reckoned with what he did to make Trump possible, much like O’Toole’s Henry II made the situation with his three sons possible.
I wish the senators would fight like they were about to in “The Lion In Winter” Show they at least have some notion of how people are suffering, Pull out their knives and bleed just a little. Hell, Cruz hasn’t even offered to make his famous machine gun bacon for those who can’t manage to put food on the table or make ends meet.
I enjoy listening to Rick Wilson and Stephen Schmidt. Both have real skills in slicing and dicing their enemies, which hopefully will be the repugs for a long time.
Nothing like the fury of betrayal.
