Step by the step the January 6 Committee is reconstructing the most awful day in America history. The altercation between Trump and the Secret Service was confirmed by a Metro D.C. police officer. It’s also been confirmed that Donald Trump could have walked mere feet to get on camera and stop the riot. He chose not to do so. Ergo, he endorsed the riot. That is further buttressed by the reading of his tweet at approximately 2:30 p.m. blaming Pence and calling Pence a coward.
It’s also been established that Kevin McCarthy behaved like a normal human being, i.e., with righteous indignation and then that reaction was buried.
And Ivanka’s name came up as well. Apparently she was called to stop her father but either didn’t or couldn’t. But then people began to scream things like “say goodbye to the family” and we have not heard that before.

Now, I know this sounds very cold and callous but I have to ask this: isn’t that every SS agent’s JOB? When shit hits the fan their JOB is to put their life on the line for the person they are guarding. Unfortunately for them it was a P.O.S. like former guy which on the surface explains this desire not to lose their lives. That still doesn’t excuse them from putting their lives on the line when necessary for him. If they did not like that scenario I do believe their are other jobs out there more suited to their temperaments.
Don’t get me wrong, the best thing for our country would have been a bullet to former guy’s head before his descent down that schlocky piece of garbage he and Melly rode down when he threw his hat in the ring (for real that is). Things did not work out that way so any SS agent not wanting to protect lard-ass needed to walk away from that particular job. I have no pity for them. None at all. Quite frankly the SS agents are more deserving of physical harm then the D.C. law enforcement officers who actually DID suffer harm from diaper don’s nonsense.
It would have been perfectly justified for the SS to blast their way out to protect Pence and his family. With a loaded (17 shot) Glock and a couple of extra mags each agent could have done some worthwhile damage.
