He’s going from bad to worse. He is not doing anything but denying. Show us the proof, Max. Show us that your daughter didn’t have a broken collarbone. The other two, the hot water and the holding at gunpoint much harder to prove or disprove. And all 3 apply to your soon-to-be ex-wife. Can she prove the daughter did have a broken collarbone? That’s one piece of important information. He is just deny, deny, denying. One would think he had taken lessons from Trump. Respect to Raw Story:

Max Miller’s refusal to withdraw from his re-election campaign, amid domestic abuse allegations [EDIT: NYT subscription required.] that he threw boiling water at his ex-wife and broke their toddler daughter’s collarbone, were met with mounting calls that he resign — including from his ex-wife’s senator father.
That’s not going to help his situation. Now there are multiple calls for his resignation, including from his father-in-law. That’s a big one. The question is whether or not he trusts what his daughter had said, or is just doing it because his name is somewhat attached to Miller’s and he doesn’t want to be dragged down. For the moment, we’ll assume the allegations are true, with a side of innocent unless proven guilty. For as much as Miller is protesting his innocence, it makes me wonder if there really *is* substance to the accusations.
Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH) had been notably silent on his daughter Emily’s abuse claims until Sunday morning, until Miller posted a 20-minute video denying the allegations against him. Miller noted that no criminal charges have been filed against him, and that Child Protective Services had found all accusations leveled against him to be unsubstantiated. He also shared a trove of documents [EDIT: the link doesn’t go anywhere now, so it has been removed.] that he argued supported his denials. But Moreno was not convinced. “He is a danger to my daughter, and I hold my breath every minute he has custody of my granddaughter,” Sen. Moreno replied on X.
We are back to the did he or didn’t he circus. It’s difficult to determine either way. For Senator Moreno, his statement could go either way. Is he truly telling us what he knows, or is he CYA his Republican self? In terms of Miller, if he dropped out, who would replace him? Time is running out, and we’re getting closer to midterms every day. We have no information on a replacement. And if the public made Graham Platner drop out of his race, then they should make Miller do so too. We certainly can’t condone someone like this in Congress. We’re not thinking about worse than this in Texas: Ken Paxton.

He got there.” //// Democratic strategist Ally Sammarco highlighted Moreno’s assertion that Miller should seek care. “Important: Bernie Moreno says that Max Miller, himself, has admitted that he needs “serious psychological help.” Sammarco wrote. “Resign, you freak.” //// “I’d call for more than ‘psychological help,'” Former Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger said. “That said, Miller needs to leave.”
This is such a mess. It’s difficult to figure out who to believe. There’s a fair amount of he said she said. But at this moment, with the information we have available, yes, he should resign. How many other congressional escapades have caused resignations? Miller is not the first, and assuredly will not be the last. This is not a new story in Congress, and that’s disturbing. It makes one wonder if there’s something in the air around these people. But innocent until proven guilty. What a tough call to make on this whole business.
