Real Witch Hunt Begins, Oversight Cmte. Hauling Twitter Employees Before Congress Over Dick Pics

Here we are. This is what it’s going to look like for the next two years, revenge politics at its finest. James Comer will be heading up the House Oversight Committee starting in January and he’s got the real witch hunts set up.

This is already starting to look like something out of the days of Joseph McCarthy. It makes as much sense.

The tragic part of this is that Comer and the rest of them know that this is political theater but they are so bereft of actual policies and plans that this is the path they want to take. Here’s a preview of things to come.

This is Comer’s crusade. He’s been leading up to this for some time. This is how he’s going to make his mark on history. Too bad it’s so stupid.

The Bulwark:

Right-wing commentator Buck Sexton (real name), said this was a “bright red line violation” and that Biden should be IMPEACHED for it. Rep. James Comer (R-TN) was on Fox promising that everyone at Twitter involved with this would be brought before the House Oversight committee. Rep. Billy Long retweeted several MAGA influencers praising Elon for, among other things, “exposing corruption at the highest levels of society” (Projection Alert). Meanwhile Kari Lake hype man Pizzagate Jack Posobiec declared this the “biggest story in modern presidential election history,” claimed that “we can never go back to the country we were before this moment,” and donned this “a digital insurrection.”

In reality, all they really had was a digital erection.

The offending material that Taibbi revealed was removed by Twitter at the Biden campaign’s request turns out to have been a bunch of links to Hunter Biden in the buff.

There was a tweet from a Chinese account featuring a naked woman on top of Hunter Biden, as well as a family photo. Two pictures of Hunter Biden’s penis, one with another woman in the background. Taibbi’s next list of material was removed by Twitter after being flagged by the Democratic National Committee. They include a picture of Hunter Biden smoking crack and getting his feet rubbed and a link to a Hunter Biden sex tape.

Very simply, all you need to know is that political campaigns work with social media platforms and make requests about offending content. This is as common as grains of sand on the beach. Happens every day.

The Republican obsession with Hunter Biden’s laptop, and all things Hunter Biden, is because they need to put it into the universe that the Biden family is a “crime family” to quote Elise Stefanik to make the Bidens as bad as Trump. Which is insane, but that’s the psychological need. You will be hearing much more about this in coming days. It’s a new low for the GOP. Joseph McCarthy is looking up from Hell and smiling.
