What you are about to hear is next level stupid. But then consider the source. Lauren Boebert has cobbled together a conspiracy theory that is one for the ages. It involves her (now) nemesis, Marjorie Taylor Greene, House Speaker Mike Johnson and of course the GOP nominee himself. Donald Trump. Marge is after Johnson, as you know, and Bobo has found a trail of breadcrumbs which shows her how Marge’s Motion to Vacate Johnson will result in Trump being banned from the 2024 ballot. Whut? Oh, you have to hear it to believe it. And even then you won’t.

The stupidity is so profound that it’s almost physically painful to listen to. You risk losing brain cells paying attention to this drivel. But I’m glad that Bobo is doing it. Her motive, I assume, is to pretend that she’s cutting edge aware and working hard for her constituents, because that might make them keep her around. I think that that boat may have already sailed.
But, that said, it is May and on June 25 Colorado has a primary and if Bobo loses at the primary level, she’s history. Finis. She could conceivably be finis even if she wins, because Democrat Ike McCorkle outraised her last quarter and he’s the front running Democrat. (And yes, that district is deep red but again I remember you, we live in the Era of Trump and the laws of political physics don’t work the same way as before.)
The irony here is that this is a great conspiracy theory. I would like to believe that 1. Hakeem Jeffries could get the gavel. I’m all for that and 2. That magically he could pull some kind of miracle (because legislation precludes what Bobo’s raving about, so it’s miracle or nothing) that will allow Trump to be taken off the ballot in all 81 50 states before November. I mean, that will require some world class wizardry. Harry Potter will want to see learn this spell.
I hope that this stick, stone, stupid individual gets voted out of politics and goes on to whatever her next career is. The idea of her getting reelected and therefore eligible for a congressional pension makes my blood boil. Congress has seen many a nitwit walk through its corridors the past two and a half centuries but it will be a long long time before somebody stupider than Lauren Boebert shows up.
She’s definitely on the ropes now, if she’s making up drivel like this. And follow the *logic* here: Bobo is saying she is a purer MAGA than Greene. Greene wants to off Johnson for not being pure enough but Bobo says that if Greene does that, then that opens the door for Jeffries to magically seize the gavel and then through some form of political voo doo disqualify Trump from the ballot — but she doesn’t specify how that can take place, which is because it can’t. At least not in this government, with the Constitution still in place, however tattered and worn it may be.
But Bobo, being *pure MAGA* sees this ruse on the part of Johnson and Greene and so she’s going to head them off at the pass and make sure that they can’t do this thing, because she, Bobo, is protecting the Mango Messiah.
That’s the *sense* of this thing, as near as I can parse through it. That, and she’s scared shitless that she’s going to lose the primary next month, or she wouldn’t be spewing drivel like this on the airwaves to get attention.
Watch for two characters to be on the air in the next few months and crazier and crazier. One is Boebert and the other is Nancy Mace.
Yes it’s a batshit crazy theory. Even more batshit crazy is that I find myself wishing on this one thing she’d be right and that her Rube Goldberg Machine process would play out and her fear of no Trump on the ballot would become reality. Yep? I’m thinking WTF? and head is so pressurized it hurts because it’s about to explode over actually rooting for Bobo on something.
Maybe someone laced the frozen shrimp I had for dinner with acid and I’m on a bad trip or something. I’ll wake up in the morning and when I come to PZ this article won’t be here and I can reasure myself what I’m experiencing is some sort of hallucination.

It is possible that Jeffries, who was tutored by Master Ninja Pelosi, will extract concessions from Maga Mike in return for support, but that is the way congress is supposed to work. It’s called bipartisanship, which is a derogatory term to MAGAts
