There is one word for this and that is unconscionable. This is the collective doing of right-wing media, Team Trump and the irresponsibility of the GOP in nominating the ticket that they now have on the November ballot. This is how far the GOP has fallen and they are prepared to take the rest of us down with them into a post-democracy America. This is J.D. Vance’s monster and he keeps doubling and tripling down on it, rather than pumping the brakes and stopping this madness. Make no mistake, Vance may have called Trump “America’s Hitler” but if that analogy holds, he’s emphatically America’s Joseph Goebbels. (You may recall that in Hitler’s will he left the country, so to speak, to Goebbels. Goebbels held the title of Chancellor for a day and then he and his wife Magda, died in a murder/suicide after Magda had murdered their six children with cyanide capsules.)

Vance’s response is lengthy and it’s worth hitting the tweet and reading the entire thing. This is most of it.
Look at the number of Medicaid recipients who are newcomers. Do you not think that stresses the local hospital system? I have constituents who say they’ve lost their jobs, or been told they won’t be getting a raise, because new migrants are willing to work for cheap. There are homeless people who can’t get homes. Look at the number of ESL students in a small school district–increasing over three fold to nearly 1,000 kids. Do you think it affects the quality of the education for locals when their schools are flooded with a bunch of people who don’t speak the language? I could go on and on. Again, a longer conversation, but I don’t know why your automatic assumption is that the only reason people are complaining about this is that they have bad motivations. And I cannot stand the condescension directed at all of these people who–on the record–are giving very specific testimonials about how their lives were made worse.

So you see the day to day reality of the situation juxtaposed against the opportunity to demonize these people and depict them as “the Other.” And of course you don’t have to imagine why the Proud Boys are in town or what they might be there to do.

This is a disgrace. This is not America. Trump should walk this back or certainly Vance should. But I do not expect it.
And I think this is a gigantic miscalculation on Vance’s part. Maybe this will appeal to MAGA but to anybody else, this is going to be perceived as the extremist moral rot that it is. This is not a vote winning strategy. But if J.D. Vance had any concept of getting votes, he has not shown us that propensity and I do not expect it in the next 51 days. Not if this is his stance here and now today, the 14th of September.
What the man at the Metals factory echoes what was expressed in Minnesota with the influx of immigrants from Sudan. Immigrants built this nation and unless your ancestors are Native Americans, we are all descended from immigrants.

When V.P. Harris becomes President Harris, there are a few vital things that must be done. Now, this CANNOT be accomplished until/unless the House and Senate are also in Democrats’ hands–certain members of the s.c. must be impeached-thomas, beer-bong, the vagina–all for lying to the senate judiciary committee and both thomas and beer bong for lying about sexual harassment and sexual assault. Next-total reform of the s.c.-add to it, give term limits-whichever, and damned sure make the reforms have a REQUIRED code of conduct/ethics/etc. The members of the s.c. are no more kings than the executive branch and it is past time they were reined in. Finally, trump must be charged and brought to trial for treason: nothing short of this is enough. Along with his treasonous ass bannon, flynn, ginni, and all the rest need to also be tried for treason. Treason needs to be taken seriously and punished accordingly-perhaps even bring back capital punishment for the crime to deter others from placing our nation in so much peril. You hang a few of these fuckers or send them for a ride on Ol’ Sparky and then let’s see how many others want to overthrow a freely and fairly elected government.

When Hitler ignored the terms of the Versailles treaty by building up the Germany military, then started a war by invading Poland, I guess the nazis forgot they weren’t the only ones with weapons. These proud punks and the pampered boys who are stirring them up would be wise to remember that fact. They have zero intentions of stopping their nazi tactics…they must be stopped either with the vote or with a bullet. History tells us everything we need to remember about these child killers. They intend to take over this country one way or another. Trying to reason with them is, as Thomas Paine once said, like trying to administer medicine to a corpse.
