I want to see somebody write about the Overton Window, post Trump. Because from all that I can gather, the thing has long been smashed and is a pile of broken wood and shattered glass. The term Overton Window is a construct in political science, defined as “the range of policies politically acceptable to the mainstream population at a given time.” Here’s a more inclusive description. “Joseph Overton was an American policy analyst after whom the concept is named after. Overton’s Mackinac Center for Public Policy defines the Overton Window as:

“a model for understanding how ideas in society change over time and influence politics. The core concept is that politicians are limited in what policy ideas they can support — they generally only pursue policies that are widely accepted throughout society as legitimate policy options. These policies lie inside the Overton Window. Other policy ideas exist, but politicians risk losing popular support if they champion these ideas. These policies lie outside the Overton Window.”

Policies like “fine people on both sides” chanting “Jews will not replace us,” in the streets of Charlottesville, and overtly Nazi concepts like eugenics were outside the Overton Window. But in the year 2024, this is what we hear from the GOP candidate for president.

Let me be crystal clear: I would NOT be posting these unflattering photos of Trump’s kids if he were not the scumbag that he is and talking the eugenics drivel. Who cares what people look like, if they’re good people and they put value into the world? But like everything Trumpian, he claims one thing and you go scratch the surface with a fingernail, and you find out that the truth is something else altogether. His wife, his kids (with the exception of Tiffany, I think) have all shelled out money to have their appearances altered. And that’s fine, too — but then don’t claim that it’s all natural and the result of superior genes.

Careful what you wish for, Donald, you just might get it. We’ve heard that biology is destiny and maybe Trump’s genes will in fact determine his fate — but so far, from what we can tell, that “fate” is not him as the Aryan superman. That fantasy is limited to his NFT card collection.

  1. Um, WHAT “work ethic” does Trump think his kids inherited from “genetics?” I suppose Ivana had a decent work ethic (though she didn’t really do anything most people would consider “work”) and the kids might have inherited that but, from Donald? They didn’t get jack squat as far as a “work ethic” since Donald has NO actual work ethic.

I’m guessing whatever work ethic Tiffany got, she got from her mom (considering Donald barely acknowledges Tiffany’s mere existence). And Barron, at this point, is still too young (and any school records are kept pretty confidential, barring some absolute need to know) to really display any work ethic (but, given the fact he was a bit of a “no-show” at that crypto deal Daddy was trying to put together–and all he reportedly had to do was appear via teleconference–a work ethic doesn’t seem to be on display).

As for the “Kentucky Derby winner” bit, there ARE other races to consider and not every Kentucky Derby winner manages to be a Triple Crown winner (which is widely considered to be an even more prestigious honor than just winning the Kentucky Derby since only a handful of horses have managed to accomplish that feat–whereas at least one horse has managed to win every Kentucky Derby in the event’s history). Also, there is the jockey factor to consider. And the trainer factor. The horses do NOT just win their races on their own. And plenty of “Kentucky Derby winners” have produced offspring that have FAILED to follow in their predecessors’, um, hoofprints.

  2. Trump says he is an expert at everything, certainly his kid’s moms were not responsible for their development problems … I agree, Tiffany, really IS the exception, since Trump leaves her out of his adulation talk and ignores her over the years …

Trump better be very careful at this time of his crushing reality camping out at his front door, wherever that might be … If the election schedule continues normally and Trump is still out there, that patch of black ice will still be right in front of his door, no matter what …

The SCOTUS was very careful to define Trump’s responsibility for unauthorized, non-office actions … If elected by some tragic hellfire, his conviction as a felon, already named by a jury, still exists, the inch thick listing of his carefully edited crimes will STILL be there and being guilty of the Jan 6 fiasco DOES disqualify him from the office by making him guilty of insurrection … These things will NOT vaporize instantly, like he is hoping for, since these crimes are also under huge judgements of millions of dollars he owes to avoid prison …

I cannot imagine a broom big enough to sweep his past under a huge rug …

  3. Hey fatdonny…ur granddaddy was a deserter and an illegal immigrant. Your cousins died fighting for the nazis. Your trophy wife violated the work visa laws. Your daddy was arrested at a klan rally. You are a draft dodging rapist traitor…let’s hope you and your genes end up like Joe Pesci at the end of Casino. Beat to death and dumped in a hole. On second thought that’s too quick. How about prison for the rest of your sorry nazi child killing life.

  4. He actually got one thing right. There are indeed “alot of bad genes” in this country. Most of them are in the bodies of people with white skins. Seriously, what besides bad genes could explain the exiatence of MAGA
