Just as the dinosaurs had enormous bodies and a tiny brain, which eventually led to their extinction, so does Donald Trump have a tiny brain directing a leviathan-sized ego. Trump can’t handle it that the Beautiful People, the celebrities whose favor he has always curried, all reject him. Musicians won’t allow Trump to play their music at rallies. Oh yes, he can attract the likes of Kid Rock, and over the hill gangers like Jon Voight or Mel Gibson. That he can do. But Trump has to revile the likes of Bruce Springsteen or Taylor Swift, because they can’t stand him. And he can’t stand the fact that they can’t stand him. So he stews on how unpopular he is with the Beautiful People and then vents on social media in the wee hours.

There it is in black and white, folks, Trump railing against something that he believes to be illegal. Because if the rule of law has ever had a champion, it’s Donald, right? And it’s not even accurate. Kamala packed her venues. That was never her issue. Again, Trump is suffering from his own delusion-induced cognitive dissonance. Kamala Harris only lost by 1.5% — not by the enormous “landslide” that exists only in the MAGA mind. Trump has no “mandate” which is his other favorite word describing the 2024 election. And of course he wasn’t finished. This was his next salvo into cyberspace.

There’s no evidence of any of this. But that’s not the point. The point is, why is Trump obsessed with this right now? Very likely, he was set off by Bruce Springsteen, who made the following comment while performing in Manchester last week: “In my home, the America I love… is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration.”

Trump went batty when he heard that on Fox News and replied he “never liked [Springsteen], never liked his music or his Radical Left Politics.” The truth of the matter is that Trump worships all celebrities and wants them to worship him.

The question now becomes, is this trolling or is Trump going to have Pam Bondi weaponize the Justice Department against the aforenamed musicians? I don’t think Bondi will go for it. I believe she humors Trump as much as she can but at the end of the day, bending the rules and breaking the law are still two different things.

And if Bondi does want to follow Trump’s demands to persecute these entertainers, great. Bring it on. Nothing will introduce the 2026 midterms better than the crazy orange-tinted one weaponizing the government against superstar musicians because he can’t handle the fact that they’ve rejected him and that they loathe him.

This is a win/win situation any way that you look at it.

  1. This from the guy who met with this country’s top oil executives and demanded they cough up a BILLION dollars for his “election” fund. In return he’d deregulate the hell out their industry and let them ‘drill baby drill’ wherever the f**k they wanted. And not to put too fine a point on it there was an “or else” involved.

I’m learning some, in fact already more than I ever wanted to know about cryptocurrency and it’s dawning on me that this might have been Trump’s biggest con all along. Musk has long been a proponent of crypto and his example would get other ‘tech bros’ to also donate insane amounts so that a President Trump could turn them loose, and maybe even turn the Federal Reserve into a minor player. But HIS crypto would allow him to launder tens of BILLIONS of bribe money. Maybe even into the hundreds of BILLIONS.

We are seeing classic Trumpian projection. Accusing others of doing what HE has done or is going to do!

  2. Trumpler’s heroes come from one of two camps: the ruthless dictatorship or the entertainment industry. Despite his endless bragging about how wonderful he was on reality TV, he failed at being a star of show biz, so he’s now aiming at the tyrant gig. He’s convinced himself that real asshole tyrants, eg Kim/Vladimir/MBS, respect and admire him (yup he’s that dumb), so he thinks he’s on his way. He hates pop stars who reject his advances as much as he hates the elected leaders of functioning democracies who laugh at him. He’ll make noise about hauling the likes of The Boss into court, but fear not; he knows, deep down, he hasn’t got the balls needed to face such a confrontation.
