Another entry in the You Can’t Make This up file. A painter in the UK decided to raise money to help Ukraine. In order to do that he created “paintings” of Vladimir Putin, which are…mixed media, shall we say? Instead of paint, Putin’s image is fashioned with dog excrement mixed with mud and then varnished heavily so that you can’t smell it.

Gotta give the man credit for originality and for sending a message. Two thumbs up.

Daily Star:

Dominic Murphy from Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, created the piece with the help of his dog Sybil and titled it “Poo-tin’s a S**t”.

Dominic is more well known for painting scenes from Alice in Wonderland but the horrors of the Ukraine conflict inspired him to get experimental.

Speaking to the Welwyn Hatfield Times he explained: “I didn’t want to do anything wishy-washy like doves, I wanted to do something to insult Putin and still raise money for Ukraine.

“It’s niche and it’s quite the statement, but I really liked the idea of being able to insult him while raising money for the people of Ukraine.”

Dominic claimed that he’s had a good reaction to the bizarre project, with the original print selling for £150.

Subsequent prints are available to buy on his website or at his stall in Hatfield Market for £40, and so far he has raised £500.

Maybe Mr. Murphy could send Vladimir Putin a copy of his object d’art for St. Patrick’s Day next week?
