We joked several years ago about naming the United States “Trumpmerica” but now it’s not such a joke. Donald Trump has plans to name both Penn Station and Dulles Airport after himself. Where does he get these notions from? You will simply love the answer he gives.

Well, that lie didn’t hold up long, “Schumer made me do it.” Chuck Schumer is a good man but he’s not the man for this hour. It’s a shame that Harry Reid got old and sick as he did. Reid was resilient and adaptable, as the best politicians are. He could have risen to the occasion of dealing with Trump and his lies.
Schumer is cut from a different bolt of cloth. He sees politics as a gentlemen’s game and indeed it is if gentlepeople are practicing it. That is not the case in the era of MAGA. There is nothing gentle about Washington right now, it’s a complete shit show of open greed and corruption.
Let’s see how far Trump gets with renaming various landmarks, as the rest of the world looks on and shakes its collective head in disbelief.
After the breakup of the Soviet Union, statues were removed and cities renamed. I’m sure that will happen here, too.

Schumer, as I recall, was TOLD by Drumpf that, if Schumer didn’t agree to it, that Drumpf would block funds for a New York area transportation project.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on Friday night, Trump said Schumer “suggested that to me about changing the name of Penn Station to Trump Station,” according to a pool report and reporting by NewsNation’s Kellie Meyer. Trump added Virginia’s Washington Dulles International Airport is “really separate” and “not too involved with Congress.”
Schumer quickly responded on X, writing: “Absolute lie. He knows it. Everyone knows it. Only one man can restart the project and he can restart it with the snap of his fingers.”
According to sources who spoke to Punchbowl News and CNN, Trump proposed last month to rename Penn Station and Washington Dulles International Airport after himself in exchange for the billions of dollars in funding needed for the project. Schumer rejected the proposal and told Trump it was beyond his authority to initiate such a request.

Look, I get that you and some others aren’t entirely happy with Schumer but, give credit where credit’s due: Schumer said such an idea was “an absolute lie.”
There will be excessive amounts of rage if he tries to do this to Penn Station. Don’t mess with New Yorkers because they will eat your ass and throw you in the Hudson River. I can state this, having lived in NY for a number of years. The backlash on Washington Dulles would probably be the same way, except he’d be dumped in a different river.
Or New Yorkers might give him to the subway rats. Forgot to add that.
