Republicans were talking about separating The Cheez-Whiz Traitor Tot’s agenda into 2 bills in order to (hopefully) get them to pass sooner than later. And now, Squeaker Mike’s Johnson has said they are to do it in one package for tRump since that was what he wanted in returning for supporting Johnson. Border, energy, and tax changes all in one. My opinion, even though you didn’t ask? It’s going to take *months* to pass, not weeks, because there is a certain progression of committees it will have to go through to work out this snag and that snag and may I have the next dance, please?
We have not the slightest hints, yet, of what all the changes might or are going to be. The border is actually fairly simple. Build the wall, close the border, people have to wait in Mexico to see if they will be allowed in. I can’t begin to understand how those people will feel after going through the long, dangerous walk in search of a better life. Of course, I’m not sure the next 4 years will be able to be called a better life.
Energy? That one might also be simple. Undo all of Biden’s clean air/clean climate laws and forward thinking (I can’t remember if they were actually called laws, which is embarrassing) take away tax credits, and drill, baybee, drill”. Feh. El Pendejo Anaranjado can take care of that with a couple executive orders, I would think, so why does it need to be in a bill? Contingency planning? To last longer? Or there might be things I’m missing because I’m just working with the knowledge I have Right Now, so no idea about what’s in the future. Shoot, I’m not familiar enough with what might be done for energy to guess at the dark version that tRump will be putting in place. And it *will* be dark. I expect he’ll shut down the wind farms and solar farms so he can stay right with gas and oil. Gas and Oil? Now *that* is dark. If he unwinds all the regulations to keep emissions under control, well, might as well call it a partial eclipse except that stuff in the air could very well be permanent. Also there looks to be a good chance that fracking will be expanded and I don’t want those leftover pieces of rock in MY area. Surely there has to be a better way than just putting piles of contaminated stone somewhere. There’s no reason to stop the solar and wind farms. He’ll never have to do anything with them so why not leave them alone? There’s some that were in place during his *last* presidency, so just leave them the hell alone.
Taxes, though? THAT could be complex. It’s going to be helping the (mostly) white, male oligarchs (no E-yawn, I haven’t forgotten about you), which hurts our Social Security funding, as one example, and it irks me because they could pay a LARGE amount of taxes and never notice the money is gone! They could go swimming in money and only a tiny fraction of what they have would be there. Have. Them. Pay. The. Goddamn. Taxes. But no. Take care of your friends. Take care of the big corporations that happily pad your pockets, because THEY can afford it too (no names this time). But none of this will be done to help the country, like all those lower and middle-class people who could really use a little help. The trickle-down effect means we will have to pay because he’s letting the rich people get away with zero. But he promised he would help the economy! Y’all, this *is* The Mango Messiah we’re discussing and what HE wants to do.
Hmmm I’m having fun with these little side jaunts that are off topic, yet not off topic. These three things, which are generally what the bill, the big, beautiful bill, will affect. These *will* trickle down to those of us, to all of us, that can least afford it. I don’t know which one pisses me off the worst. It’s really a toss-up between all three, and I’m just making educated guesses. I’m not sure I want to know more and expect we will find out eventually. Actually, we might only gets hints because they won’t and don’t want to tip their hand before it’s already a done deal. It’s going to be a challenging 4 years and I hope there’s something left on the other side. Remember, Absolute. Immunity.

I don’t know about contaminated rocks, but I do know that there are injection wells with left over fracking waste water that is contaminating ground water sources. People in Pennsylvania were up in arms about this, but I don’t know what happened.
Oh and my favorite part is that the oil companies won’t disclose what is in the fracking liquid. God forbid they are held responsible for the harm this creates.
And Pennsylvania voted for whom? Burn baby burn…how’s the earthquake situation since there’s a correlation with fracking? Sometimes you get what you ask for…good and hard!
How the hell, can the GOP continue to function without bringing in a solid plan of action for the near future?
So far they have managed to lambast every Democratic, progressive proposals, and when the bi-partisan proposals are made, somehow they manage to sabotage those as well …
This miss-guided, stupid group of people should be made to do real, transparent actions on any bill or rules they want to enforce … Our stars in the House have been slapping around a few of the worst Reps, but then they just go back to their over-stuffed recliner desk chairs, and start thinking of more ways to screw the ordinary Citizens, most of us …
Have not even a portion of these putrid actors annual income, and of course, none of their perks like full health care at no cost to them, all drugs and treatment items, included …
Park where you want, no ticket responsibility, full use gymnasium, work-out equipment, the list goes on and on, and yet, they squeak on any commonsense coverage for us, the ones that have actually worked, or are still working for a living … Not many of us had or, have full-payed vacations with some expense money thrown in as well, but the biggest con is, if they think they need more, they just vote for a raise …
