Yes, friends, Idiocracy was a work of prophecy and not a satire, as was commonly supposed some twenty years ago when the movie was made. If you screen it today, believe you me, you will not find it uproariously funny. You will instead say, “How did they know?” And assuming that, against all odds, this republic manages to endure and get beyond this nadir to which we have fallen (and which keeps getting lower all the time) people will look back on this time and shake their heads in disbelief. As you know, we are mere hours away from the government shutting down at 12:01 a.m. as the calendar flips to October. And what is our Commander in Chief doing? We’re so glad you asked.

And you don’t even have to wait for tomorrow morning. Mike Johnson is on notice of this and he merely says, “Not my style.” Thank you, Moses Mikey, for showing us the truth of that old GOP slogan, “The Republican party. Leadership you can depend on.” Yes. You can depend upon it to do jack shit nothing in the face of outrage.

Johnson should call it out. The GOP should call out a lot of things. They won’t. Because they are all fake Christians and they worship power and Trump. The entire lot of them. And this is (maybe soon to be “was”) on Trump’s Twitter feed as of 6:45 p.m. PDT. Full disclosure time: the video below was in Trump’s Twitter account, and the first video in this feed is still in Trump’s Truth Social feed (but not on Twitter) as of 7:14 p.m. PDT. I expect either or both to vanish at any time.

I hope somebody is grabbing this feed, because I have the impression that one of Trump’s minions will see this and tell him that it’s too far over the top. But be of good cheer, nothing gets erased on the internet. It’s merely a question of who grabs it and archives it and then how far the rest of us have to hunt once Trump has dragged it down.

The lies continue. I wonder, if we could do a pop poll of the country tonight, how many millions of people believe this particular lie, that people stroll across the southern border (or across the northern — with drugs) and are greeted with free health care, credit cards, stays at fine hotels — and it’s all financed by the DNC so that they can all vote multiple times? I wish we could do that poll but I’m relieved that we can’t, because I don’t want to know how many morons there are in this country. We know that there are enough to have elected Trump twice. That is sufficient information for me.

And these racist, MAD Magazine-level videos are simply beyond the pale. There will be blowback for this. We just don’t know quite what, yet.

  3. These videos have Stephen Miller all over them. Nothing to do with Trump, I suspect. Donald may say “AI” but has no idea what it means or what it does. If these home movies go over big with the MAGAt morons, maybe Miller will be emboldened enough to go all-out racist, making Hakeem Jeffries into a Jim Crow-style vaudeville buffoon with rolling eyeballs and ragged bib overalls.
