Old Man Rants About Unknown Forces Persecuting Him At Midnight

It’s the full moon and maybe that’s why this particular lunatic had to record this last night. Donald Trump is literally burning the candle at both ends and I don’t see this going on for too much longer. He’s headed for a collapse. He’s 77 and he’s got a lot of miles on his odometer. He has not mitigated physical aging the way many people do with a good diet, sufficient exercise, particularly cardio vascular conditioning, and a calm and positive life. I don’t even want to think about what his blood pressure is.

He’s got some notion that theatrics can save him. He devotes all his energies to that. The clip that you’re about to see was either done before he went to sleep, or maybe he didn’t go to sleep. That, in and of itself, is a recipe for ruination.

If I were Nikki Haley I’d show up at the E. Jean Carroll trial in a “fancy” dress, sit and watch quietly and then hold a press conference outside about how he’s a sexual abuser who can’t stop attacking women.
He would lose his fucking mind.

This is all theatrics for the MAGA crowd. He needs their money and he needs to play the victim in order to get it. In the real world, the civil rape trial was concluded and Trump was found liable last year. That is res judicata, which means, “a matter that has been adjudicated by a competent court and may not be pursued further by the same parties.”

Trump keeps insanely insisting that the underlying case be dismissed and it is not going to happen. That case is over with. This is the defamation case and only the damages portion of the defamation case.

It is nothing short of frightening that a candidate for president would be railing against basic legal principles like this. But then this is a man who has openly declared that he intends to be Dictator For A Day and carry out massive deportation efforts. And before he does that, he’s currently involved in advocating that states neighboring Texas send National Guard troops to the Lone Star State in order to quell an imaginary “invasion,” and ignore both the ruling of the Supreme Court (on barbed wire preventing federal officers from reaching migrants at the Rio Grande) and the White House. The man is advocating civil war, basically.

This is a zoo, within a circus, within a train wreck. But still he leads in the polls as the standard bearer for the GOP. And most of them cosign on his conspiracy theory nonsense.

Welcome to politics 2024. This is a presidential election year that will be discussed in history classes of the future until the cows come home.

Meanwhile, here’s the basic lay of the land: Judge Arthur Engoron’s verdict and the damages verdict which may be rendered today in the E. Jean Carroll case could both be financially crippling to Trump. His profile is going to be affected amongst any undecided voters. It would be naive to think otherwise.

Then there are the other cases, the January 6 case, classified documents case, and election racketeering case coming up. Anyone of these could result in a criminal conviction and sentencing. Yet somehow, despite all this, the GOP wants this man to lead the party. The analogy with lemmings doesn’t even begin to touch the reality of what we see in real life, day to day, watching Trump world.
