I don’t know about you but the photo on the official White House Christmas Card doesn’t exactly give me ‘warm fuzzies’, holiday cheers etc. Given their demeanor and the way they’re dressed “Donny and Melanie” look like they stopped for a quick photo on their way to a funeral for a hated relative they couldn’t get out of attending! It seems folks have noticed and are on the internet saying the image doesn’t inspire much in the way of holiday cheer.
In fact, Inquisitr reports what they call a ‘brutal backlash’ to our ersatz First Couple. I look at them and think ‘couldn’t they at least PRETEND to be a happy couple wishing everyone a Merry Christmas for thirty seconds while the photographer snapped a few pics?’ Apparently not and it seems I’m not the only one thinking that way:
In the photo, the president and first lady stand in front of the White House’s festive decorations but wear straight-faced expressions that many critics said lacked holiday cheer. “Merry Christmas from President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump,” the official White House account wrote alongside the image.
According to The Irish Star, social media users quickly reacted, with several comparing the card to a funeral portrait. One user wrote, “They look like they’re going to a funeral,” while another joked, “Gosh, how cheerful.” Others questioned why the pair did not smile.
To me the answer to that last question about not smiling is easy. Melania negotiated her fee to pose, and had Trump spring having to hold his nasty ‘dick skinner’ (what my DIs called hands) and she felt trapped. The photographer was right THERE and would have snapped photos of her stomping off. Trump of course was pissed about having to straight up PAY his trophy wife a small fortune just to pose with him.
Don’t kid yourself. Trump had to pay through the nose. We all know how Melania feels when it comes to fulfilling the ‘Fooking CREES-MUS’ duties First Ladies always do. Hell, she hates her husband and hates pretty much any of the things First Ladies have always done. I can imagine her ranting when told she’d need to pose with her nasty, stinky P.O.S. “john” (she’s a trophy wife who married and has stayed for money. Prostitution in a fancy package) and come to think of it Trumpty’s middle name IS “John.” He’s spent a literal fortune paying for women in his disgusting life. But don’t kid yourself. The only reason “Melanie” still shows up is for the money. It’s his TOUCHING her, even just holding his hand that has her so pissed off in that picture.
It’s easy enough to imagine her thoughts: “Dammit!!! Steel having do thees fooking CHREESMUS sh*!!!! I got pay from heem but con-track not say any theeng about letting touch my hand! I see knews – shudder at where that nasty leetle hand weeth stubby feengers have touched. EEEEEWWWW! I soooo peesed off. Should be thousand mile avay weeth Barron enjoyeeng quiet hol-ee-day in NYC!”
And Trump of course is equally pissed because he knows how much she despises him. And it dawned on him that he got away with not having to pay to touch her hand for the photo the NEXT time he has to negotiate an appearance fee she’ll making him f**king pay! He knows HIS memory sucks but she WILL remember this photo op.
I think back at prior Presidents and First Ladies and regardless of Party when seen in photos at Christmastime they genuinely seemed to be enjoying themselves. Even the Nixons. I can’t help but wonder if we’ve ever had a President and First lady outright despise each other the way the Trumps do. All couples have their moments of course but the mutual loathing here is off the charts. Trump hates himself for a myriad of reasons including having to pay to have had women who weren’t as fat and ugly as I am be with him. With “Melanie” who close to two decades ago (when home with baby Barron she knew damn well he was running around, cheating with multiple women) stop even pretending to like him he knows she’s got his number.
Yep, in private she made it clear. She’d fulfill her contract to be arm candy a specified number of times in public and then quietly take her payout when he was ready to trade her in for a younger trophy wife. However she never wanted the spotlight, much less the duties of a First Lady so like her hubby she’s gone about trashing things. They have more in common than either realizes.
One can only hope either mother nature will do her job and finish off Trump or the Cabinet is forced by GOP Congress Critters to invoke the 25th amendment that this will be the last time we see these two spreading Holiday Hatred of each other and having to pretend they are a loving couple. Again I wish our readers and most people a Merry Christmas but also know not even MAGAs will feel any joy looking at THAT Christmas Card photo.

On a small, positive note, he didn’t include one of his nastygram screeds like he has in the past.
Well, he did the whole “nastygram” thing last week in his hastily-scheduled speech.
The day isn’t done and if vampires were real you’d see on of them in church before you’d see Trump. I suspect he’ll have his on Trump worship service in the ballroom of Mar A Lago – one where the guests will worship HIS being among us. He already thinks his own birthday should be a holiday, never mind there’s a President’s Day holiday already.
Most people have “checked out” for Christmas but the time between it and the new year will I think see plenty being said. It’s been a bad year, including for Trump. If not his wallet, something that’s even more dear to him which is his standing with has MAGAs and cracks in elected Republican’ support. Only cracks but though he won”t want to deal with it Wiles hihs likely to be hearihn from Congress Critters they aee done. And why. That I thihk will provoke a lot of lashing out by Trump because not only has this year been difficult in ways he never figured would happen, he knows next year will be worse.
OK, contrarian view here. That pose may indeed be somewhat funereal, but it might also be the classiest photograph of the first couple I’ve ever seen.
That said, did you all notice the minimal height difference between the two? What are their listed heights again?
