If you rip your hair out pondering how Donald Trump got back in the White House, take a look at this clip. This is Kristi Noem, sans puppy, or prisoners in the background, doing a photo op. And it even involves a restroom. Lordy, lordy. Be careful, Kristi, Nancy Mace will go beserk if she thinks you’re stealing her act. Here, Norem plays the victim. And who is victimizing her? Basically J.D. Pritzker and secondarily the entire state of Illinois. Paranoid much?
Kristi Noem is mad they wouldn’t let her in to use the restroom in Illinois today. pic.twitter.com/Mh64PXPFTW

Yes, it’s a municipal building of some sort. But what time of day is it, even? It is completely possible that the building is not open to the public at that hour and the guy who sent her away was simply doing his job, which is to keep people out until the doors open for business. That’s one speculation here. Or, maybe building management or local officials got wind of some ICE-related hijinks coming their way and they decided not to provide the backdrop for Noem’s drama. We don’t know.
But my point is, this is propaganda footage. It’s *reported* by Benny Hill Johnson (the Benny Hill music is all that’s needed) and let’s just say that dude is not exactly renowned for impartiality. That’s because he’s on Putin’s payroll. Not my speculation, go ask the DOJ.
Where Russian paid propagandists infiltrate the military

You might want to Google Tenet Media sometime. The Department of Justice did (before Trump 2.0, needless to say.) The DOJ discovered that Tenet was financed 90% by RT, which is Russian Television and Benny Johnson was one of a handful of right-wing influencers who make a lot of Russian money.
- The funding scheme: Prosecutors allege that RT employees funneled nearly $10 million to Tenet Media through shell companies. This was done to “create and distribute content to U.S. audiences with hidden Russian government messaging,” particularly aimed at amplifying U.S. domestic divisions.
- The role of influencers: The indictment states that influencers, including Johnson, were contracted by Tenet Media to produce videos. These videos covered topics consistent with Russia’s interests, such as stoking cultural divisions and weakening opposition to its war in Ukraine.
- Concealed funding: The DOJ noted that Tenet’s founders admitted in private communications that their investors were “the Russians” and that the arrangement was never disclosed to the commentators or their audiences.Â
That’s straight from Google. I believe that the “arrangement” was not disclosed to the audience but I wouldn’t necessarily guarantee that the “commentators” like Johnson were clueless. But why split hairs? The right-wing influencers are swine. They’re only too happy to sell America down the toilet for money. It’s not that way on the left. This humble blog exists due to the generosity of its subscribers, people who donate and ad revenue.
I mention the difference because left-wing bloggers are motivated by a different set of principles. The Russians aren’t pouring millions of dollars our way. We earn every single dime, whereas the smug, snide, smarmy right-wing influencers are part of a long range scheme that Nikita Khrushchev announced back in 1956 (when not banging his loafer on the UN podium and declaring, “We will bury you) that “We will take you over without firing a shot. We will take you over from within.”
Truer words were never spoken. Watch a Benny Johnson clip, you are watching a Russian TV clip. And the poor, beleagured, victimized Secretary of Homeland Security is completely fine playing whatever role her Russian masters need her to play.
May we somehow survive this ordeal.

Someone made a comment about the video, asking why they didn’t just go to a local ICE detention center to use facilities. They guessed that might be too gross for them. I think it would be just right.
So! Kristi got a small sample of what it’s like to be a detainee. As they say, “To the privileged, equality feels like oppression.”
