Knowing Machado would hand over the Medal she was given when accepting the Nobel Peace Prize Trump had PR flacks working on a bigly campaign for him to go out and crow about having “won” it. His problem? The Nobel Committee keeps raining on his parade and not just regular rain. No, it’s more of the “Golden Shower” as in Putin’s hookers soiling a bed in Moscow for Trump’s entertainment type ‘rain.’ Trump has got to be furious because the Nobel Committee refuses to shut up and let him crow about his (cough cough) achievement.
Once again the Nobel Committee has with some fanfare issued a statement that Trump is NOT a Nobel Laureate. Their language was polite but there’s no doubting they were telling Trump in a way even HE could understand that if he tries to claim being a Nobel Prize winner they are going to do two things. In front of the world slap his bloated, Orange Painted ugly face and then for good measure spank his fat white ass. That seems clear, at least to me after reading Newsweek’s article about the Committee’s ‘clarification.’ They’d already put out a statement that once awarded a Nobel Peace Prize is a forever thing, AND that it can’t be transferred or shared with someone else.
Plainly put, the Committee decides who is worthy and even if the recipient wants to give it to someone else THAT person has no claim to it. No matter the reason a recipient want’s to give away the medal itself or the prize money. Even say as an extortion payoff to get a certain wannabe dictator WHO PAINTS HIS FACE ORANGE and equates passing a basic cognitive test qualifying him for MENSA to install her as leader of her country. I’ve been thinking a lot about how this is playing in Venezuela but that’s another article for another time.
No, I want to keep the focus on how pathetically (for Trump) this is playing on the world stage. And among a majority of people here in the U.S. Machado showed spectacular lack of judgement trying to bribe Trump with her medal. He never intended to announce support for her to take over leadership of Venezuela. But Trumpy had a bigly thing worked out to crow about his new prize. I wanted to puke when I saw that photo of her with him holding the display case for the medal. If Trump thought that would change the news and distract from his Epstein File problem or divert attention from his ICEstapo’s OCCUPATION of Minneapolis he was mistaken.
The Nobel Committee just wouldn’t shut up. Trump probably figured they would by now and he could start bragging about “HIS” Nobel Peace Prize. Alas, the Nobel Committee has got his number and they saw all this coming. I’m betting from the moment Machado started sucking up to Trump (even before she was formally presented the prize) they started gearing up a campaign to rain (or crap) on Trump’s parade. I can imagine his fury this weekend, learning the Committee has AGAIN clarified things:
“The Foundation upholds Alfred Nobel’s will and its stipulations,” the foundation wrote in a statement posted to X on Sunday. “It states that the prizes shall be awarded to those who ‘have conferred the greatest benefit to humankind,’ and it specifies who has the right to award each respective prize.”
“A prize can therefore not, even symbolically, be passed on or further distributed,” the foundation stressed.
I think they should REALLY kick him in the nuts. Have a staffer create an account on Trump’s own platform Truth Social. Then repost their tweet THERE! Even if Trump ordered it taken down someone (Politizoom’s Ursula perhaps) would grab a screenshot of it. The smart thing of course would be for Trump to ignore it. TS doesn’t have much of a viewership. Most of what he says on it gets known because it gets reposted on X, or as I like to call it Xitter. (If you don’t get it think about Xi from China and how the X in his name it pronouned) If someone did post the Nobel Committee’s tweet on TS and Trump had it scrubbed it would go viral. YUGE viral. Let’s face it, Trump’s ego simply couldn’t handle seeing the Nobel Committee’s smack down on his own platform!
If not someone working for the Committee, then perhaps someone else will decide they are out of f**ks to give when it comes to their own TS account and post it. Trump will react like, well… Trump. The mockery of the Nobel Committee’s ‘you ain’t jack sh*t BOY’ on his own platform will make the rounds yet again. The very thought gives me warm fuzzies. Not quite as good as seeing him duct taped in a chair as Russian hookers ruin his duckass comb-over hairdo with actual ‘golden showers.’ (Hey Trump loves gold!)
In the meantime let’s hope at the very least the Nobel Committee keeps putting out statements to ensure everyone knows whatever Trump claims he’s NOT a Nobel Peace Prize Winner. His constant begging and attempted bullying over the years pretty much ensured he’d never get one. Now, he could broker a peace deal, a real one that benefited those who were harmed and punished those responsible (including Putin and Netanyahu) in both Ukraine and Gaza and he’ll still never get the award. The best he can do is extort the medal from a gullible opposition of a country he has plans for. What’s next? Some dumbass already gave him a purple heart, perhaps in his ‘personal Vietnam avoiding STDs he twisted an ankle on the dance floor back in they day. I guess he’ll find a descendant of a Medal of Honor Recipient desperate for cash who will hand over their loved one’s Medal!

this wasn’t a distraction it’s an actual thing for trump. he’s been obsessed with it ever since obama won the peace prize and it even sometimes extends to other nobel prizes as well.
I agree with you that it’s been an obsession with Trump. He’s talked plenty of times about how deserving he is. You know: ‘I deserve it more than anyone. Ever. No one has been more deserving than ME! I’ve done more to create peace and goodwill than anyone. EVER. Even Jesus! ‘ That kind of bullshit.
I used the term distraction in this case because sometimes I believe he has in fact brought it up to try and control the news cycle – in order to distract from messes of his own making. He knows everyone knows HE believes he should have received the honor long ago. The way I see it is he tries to make a BFD about it sometimes because he just wants to get people in journalism to devote serious time to the (non news) story – to distract them from covering things they should actually be covering.
He just keeps coming up with new ‘shiny things’ to distract everyone. Before they tarnish too much and we can see their shape clearly, he distracts with the next ‘shiny thing’.
When will we learn?
It’s been his modus operandi since the beginning.
