He’s Baaaaaack! Ok, not that he ever went completely away but pillow make/pitchman and Trump fluffer extraordinaire Mike Lindell has announced his TV footprint is making a HUGE leap in it’s profile. Sure Mike. My first question upon reading this news was where in the hell the money to expand was coming from. Then I remembered Fox News dumped him – because he wasn’t paying his bills for the ads he was running! Maybe Mikey’s using the money he’s not paying Fox to not pay the people who broadcast his show. The overall workings of Trump/MAGA world are a mystery to me and when you get into subdivisions like Rudy, Lindell etc. it gets even more weird and mysterious.

Well, however he’s making it happen according to The Guardian good ole Mike Lindell is going to help Trump by expanding his Tee-Vee network. While continuing to stump for Trump and defending himself from lawsuits over his wild-ass conspiracy fueled election denialism. Lindell told The Guardian he’s already hired Lou Dobbs for a regular evening five day a week slot. It’s already started in fact:

Dobbs’s five-day-a-week show debuted on Monday at 7pm eastern time with a sycophantic Trump interview that sparked instant factchecks for his false claim that gas in the US was now selling for as much as “five, six, seven, even eight dollars a gallon”. Trump also suggested the economy would crash before long and voiced hopes it happens in the next year, which could help his campaign.

But that’s only the beginning! Oh my, but there will be sooooo much more to look forward to:

Besides Dobbs, Lindell said the TV evening lineup weekdays will feature his own program, plus shows starring Steve Bannon and Roger Stone, both Trump loyalists who are well-known for trafficking in election conspiracies.

Bannon and Stone received pardons from Trump in the weeks before he left office after they, respectively, had been indicted for defrauding investors in a Mexican wall scheme and convicted of lying to Congress.

Another host is Emerald Robinson, who was pushed out of Newsmax for peddling wacky theories about bioluminescent markers in Covid vaccines.

Like me, are you NOT eagerly waiting for this lineup, this collection of “stars” to begin appearing on Frank(en)Speech, or Lindell TV or whatever the hell the mashup that has now been created out of toxic RWNJ primordial ooze? Oh how I want reporters to, in a live press gaggle ask Trump what he thinks of this. Now that would actually be some TV worth watching.  Lest you think everyone including in RWNJ circles is ignoring Lindell he’s still getting booked for gigs at events:

In another election move, Lindell said he will be a speaker at a late January event hosted by the Maga-allied group Turning Point Action that he expects to include efforts to prod voting clerks and county officials to switch to paper ballots and ditch electronic voting machines.

Normal folks might look and laugh but for MAGAs and GOPers in general Turning Point and other such groups are who they follow. Experts can warn all they want (and they do) about how dangerous all this. That it erodes credibility in elections (it does) and harms democracy but the tragic, ugly fact is that to a substantial number of people this nonsense sells. There’s money to be made, if only for fat salaries (and perks) for the leaders on these groups. Damage to our country doesn’t factor in for them any more than it does for the Mango Messiah, aka Donald Trump.

I’ll bet you hadn’t thought about Lindell for a while until news of Fox dumping his ads broke last week. No one said why at the time but many of us guessed (correctly it seemed) because Lindell wasn’t paying them. The dude has blown who knows how many tens of millions of dollars on his lost cause of proving the 2020 election was fraudulent and getting Trump reinstated. He is simply not going to give up on his delusion. Mike Lindell will continue, now with the help of some other incredibly dishonest and sleazy folks to insist that there is “irrefutable proof” the election was stolen.

As for the part about “reinstating Trump” and right now (which I guess means no election because Trump will call it off) despite there being no Constitutional provision for such a thing. Oh but there is, at least according to Lindell. I’m waiting for him to trot out “proof” there is a such a provision written into the Constitution and ratified by the states. That it’s a separate, additional page that got stapled on to both the original and the copies mailed out to state legislatures at the time. “You can see how the staple holes and marks line up perfectly!” Lindell will proclaim. What’s that you say? There was no such thing as staplers back then? Not to worry, Lindell will produce a “real, definitely-not-a-forgery” drawing from Benjamin Franklin’s “papers” of his drawing of his invention of the world’s first stapler.

Yes, the Lindell rabbit hole is that deep (and deeper) with untold numbers of pockets of WTF? to be revealed. What matters is that you have to accept that this guy isn’t going away. We are stuck with him and will be after he’s dead. Like Tupac new recordings will keep coming out. It’s safe to say at this point if a global killer asteroid were to hit, or every nuke in the world was fired off at once the cockroaches wouldn’t be the only survivors. So would Mike Lindell.

Well, at least we can make fun of him here on PZ as I’m sure other blogs will also do.

  1. He’s as interesting as watching a snail crawl…actually less. Only in America could an asswipe like this could be on the public airwaves. It was more fun watching him rant and fume in his deposition. Wonder what happened to that case?

  2. I doubt very much that the FCC fave him a license for a ‘TV Station’. He might be running on cable (no broadcast license needed) but the cable companies aren’t charitable organisations and they WILL expect to be paid (and knowing the rep of Mad Mike, they’d probably want to see cash up front)

No – it’s probably an internet steaming system (still not free but a lot cheaper and even cheaper if he runs podcasts), but he would also need cash subscribers to cover costs.
