Make what you will of this one. Elon Musk will not be on the Board of Directors of Twitter and it was ostensibly his idea. This is in the wake of all the speculation that he was going to let everybody from neo-Nazis to Donald Trump back on the platform.

Here’s some of the feedback. Maybe Musk decided to sit in the shadows, because coming out into the limelight of the Twitter Board of Directors was starting to reveal unpleasant things.

Musk is a strange fellow. I paused when I heard that he supposedly lives in a tiny home, a “casita” which is 375 square feet. He says that’s his primary residence. Maybe it is. That is half the size of my apartment. Musk has shared custody of his five kids, so I don’t think he stuffs them in a place half the size of my apartment when they come to visit.
Many mysteries attend the billionaire. Let’s just leave it at that.
Musk came from South Africa. I expect he did not like the destruction of apartheid. He quite obviously saw the landscape here and found it quite welcoming of hateful behavior. He wasn’t wrong and we now have an S.C. that will be telling him it’s Ok.
Musk is basically a latter-day Howard Hughes: does SOME good things but the weird and unpleasant stuff keeps coming up with him. It’s going to destroy him the same way it did Hughes if he’s not careful.
What’s in his past and present that can’t been seen in a background check? Most companies do those, even if it’s cursory, for all new hires, and a board member or an executive is the ultimate in new hires.
Yes URSULA but remember in US business law all the members can be sued jointly or severally for any harm the companies product causes.. and suits can be filed against their pick of Directors. Jack knows all about this.
