This does not appear to be a good thing. In fact, it could be very bad. It’s about the war with Iran, and one of them is Trump speaking tonight. This makes me twitch. What is he trying to do *now*? Send our servicemembers into a ground war? Lose a lot of American lives? Or is he *not* going to do that after all? Please? We can guess at what the other two leaders will say. It won’t be good for the US, either. Acknowledgement to Raw Story:
Three world leaders have or will be addressing the nation on Wednesday regarding the U.S.-Israeli war against Iran, news of which sparked an immediate online frenzy of speculation and fear. “Uh oh,” wrote progressive influencer Hasan Piker on Wednesday in a social media post on X to their more than 1.6 million followers. “Uhhhhh, guys. What’s going on?” wrote another in response to the news, X user “Elections Joe,” a political commentator with more than 20,000 followers.
That’s what I was wondering. Now, it looks like they may be part of Trump’s talk. Somehow, I don’t think that’s what they want. According to close friends in the UK, they want nothing to do with Dumba$$ Donnie and his war. He insults them, threatens them, and whines at them. All it does is piss them off. I have no information about Australia, so no theories there, except with the guess of “bugger off, America”. Last I knew, they want nothing to do with the war. I hope it’s staying that way. Yes, it’s screwing with We the People, but it would be worth it to see Donnie rage.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, in a “rare national address,” urged Australians early Wednesday morning to switch to public transport and to prepare for difficult times as a result of the ongoing Iran conflict, which has sent oil prices soaring. United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer delivered a similar address on Wednesday, warning Britons of an impending “crisis.” And the White House revealed on Tuesday that President Donald Trump would be addressing the nation Wednesday night at 9 p.m. ET to provide “an important update” on his administration’s war against Iran.
Ha. Oops. It has nothing to do with the US and the war. It has to do with the war and the Strait being blocked. JFC, Dunderhead Donnie, what could you possibly tell us that’s good? We know that updates are generally him flying off the handle at someone or something. Or boasting when there’s nothing to boast about. The only good news would be us getting out of Iran and negotiating passage through the Strait for our and other ships. They’re holding our oil for ransom. Pricing increases from the war are looking to start hitting right around Tax Day, April 15th.
“This seems coordinated,” wrote academic and author Sunny Singh in a social media post on X, reacting to the news of three world leaders issuing major addresses on the same day. //// “This reminds me of March, 2020,” wrote Aidan Simardone, a Canadian immigration lawyer, in a social media post on X, referencing the brief time period leading up to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. //// And X user “Rational Aussie,” a popular political commentator who’s amassed more than 33,000 followers, speculated that the multi-national address could be an effort to “get ahead of incredibly bad news that will follow shortly.”
Now I believe I’m scared. This war has been a disaster from day one. “Things” are getting worse, not better. Now it’s crushing others, not just us. Our ‘president’ is an imbecile. Are we going to have anything left? Are we going to end up homeless because of skyrocketing prices? Trump torched wind farms and solar panels, so we only have a very few alternative energy sources. Drill baby drill cannot be done fast enough. Anything to do with oil is going to become prohibitively expensive, and not just for power. As an example, this includes food packaging. I think about Trump’s upcoming address, and dread fills me.
See you soon!
Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise that among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

Not just oil, urea fertilizer is rocketing up in price, just as it is required in the Northern Hemishere growing season, helium is now in such short supply, semi-conductor production is going to slow right down, and the world’s natural gas markets, which feed most of Asia and Africa are crashing. And oil isn’t just a fuel, we make plastic out of it.
But it’s certainly a great time for making money hand over fist with disaster capitalism. How lucky for Trump, his family and friends.
I’m glad you confirmed the fertilizer. I thought there were some things needed for the growing season. Let’s bankrupt more of our farmers. And then where the hell are they going to work? Could a couple of them get together and work together? I don’t know. The job market is wretched and has been for years. I can definitely vouch for that. It’s personal. All I know is that Trump screwed over the soybean farmers with tariffs, and Gnome screwed over the crews who pick the harvest. America is already struggling, teetering on the edge of a recession
Helium for MRI machines, I believe. That’s been short for weeks already and we can tell it’s going to get worse. I did not know about semi-conductors. And the natural gas markets. I did know we make things out of oil, though. So I’m not completely uneducated (ha).
