Let’s see Lindsey Graham and Ted Cruz, Boebert, Greene, the lot of them, continue to defend the glamor of gun ownership and open carry. Here’s another tragedy in the making, happening as we speak. This incident first took shape around 5:00 p.m. Pacific time.
Active shooter incident happening at Everglades NP. Main park road (SR 9336) closed for public safety. Visitors/residents in Flamingo should shelter in place. Suspect is a 33 y.o. white male. Federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies are coordinating the response.

There are no injuries to report as of now. Suspect fired at park rangers unprovoked. Suspect is still at large.

The Everglades National Park is 1.5 million acres in Miami-Dade, Monroe and Collier Counties.
Maybe this gun insanity is reaching a tipping point. One thing is certain, it’s not helping things to have elected officials co-sign on this behavior.
Florida Man is just having a rough day I suppose.
It should have reached the tipping point a decade or two ago, after the first school shootings. We are caught in a madness where some gun owners want no regulation at all, and some further want to take out their grievances and aggressions on innocent people. People don’t need arsenals. Yet the police continue to over react and use their weapons on unarmed people of color and not against the well-armed shooters. We’ve got it all wrong. This is a generalization, but still. How many more mass shootings must Americans endure?
Is it okay to hope that an alligator or a python took care of the problem?
